RuMR Posted March 9, 2004 Posted March 9, 2004 What do you all have in common? kids!! Let's get a kids rope up together...maybe smith in april??? Maybe squish if the weather's happening? Quote
minx Posted March 9, 2004 Posted March 9, 2004 yay!!! great idea that time of year i think smith is the best bet for planning around the weather. what about the w/e of 4/17??? that would work alright in my schedule or 4/3 if the spring ski-in isn't that w/e? Quote
snoboy Posted March 9, 2004 Posted March 9, 2004 Be careful you don't miss Ski - In at Wa Pass... Quote
RuMR Posted March 9, 2004 Author Posted March 9, 2004 Last time i looked i posted this in the NRCForum...not in the NewSkiingForum... Quote
snoboy Posted March 9, 2004 Posted March 9, 2004 Just pointing out that it could be potential schedule conflict for those who like to do both, the well rounded athletes in the group, you know? Quote
RuMR Posted March 9, 2004 Author Posted March 9, 2004 well rounded? What's that? never heard the term before... Quote
minx Posted March 9, 2004 Posted March 9, 2004 hey didn't my post specifically mention not crossing over the spring ski in??? Quote
RuMR Posted March 9, 2004 Author Posted March 9, 2004 ya it did... Snoboy just had to pollute the thread w/ stinkin', whoops, meant skiin'... I don't care when...just think it'd be pretty fun for adults and kids... Quote
DCramer Posted March 9, 2004 Posted March 9, 2004 April is pretty much impossible for me because I will be a single Dad for awhile, a climbing trip is planned and kid's b-days. A day trip to Leavenworth sometime would be easier to swing. Quote
RuMR Posted March 9, 2004 Author Posted March 9, 2004 a single dad is exactly what would be required!! No grief at all, you are taking your kids camping/climbing!! DO IT MAN!!! Quote
Alex Posted March 9, 2004 Posted March 9, 2004 ...the well rounded athletes in the group, you know? He's calling all y'all fat. Quote

DO IT MAN!!! i second what rumr said! there'll be enough kids running around to keep yours busy. it'll probably be easier than being at home! Quote
Bug Posted March 10, 2004 Posted March 10, 2004 I have the first three weekends in April but I do not want to drive all the way to Smith. Let's all go to Banks lake. It is a little more than half the drive time and no crowds. Quartz monzanite domes. I really shouldn't even be giving out this info. Quote
Off_White Posted March 10, 2004 Posted March 10, 2004 ...the well rounded athletes in the group, you know? He's calling all y'all fat. I thought the term "voluptuous" might be a little more gracious. Quote
AlpineK Posted March 10, 2004 Posted March 10, 2004 Fun rock might not be a bad place to take kiddies, but then you might have to hang out with those nasty skiers Rumr Quote
Billygoat Posted March 10, 2004 Posted March 10, 2004 Me and mine are up for whatever! Closer to Sea would be better but I could swing a trip to smith. Goat Quote
JayB Posted March 10, 2004 Posted March 10, 2004 I have a niece and a nephew that I'd be into taking to this thing, but I agree that Smith is a long way aways for such an event - at for those of us in Washington. My vote would be for something in the Icicle. Quote
Distel32 Posted March 10, 2004 Posted March 10, 2004 Can one of you older folks adopt me so I can come??? that'd be swell. Quote
Rocksanyone Posted March 10, 2004 Posted March 10, 2004 HEY!! Don't forget about me!!!! I have two who love to climb!! Just name the time and place!! Quote
sk Posted March 10, 2004 Posted March 10, 2004 Can one of you older folks adopt me so I can come??? that'd be swell. you are now adopted I have the kids the April 17th...and May 1st. I would love to do this keep me apraised.... Smith realy works best for me cause I am the furthest south, but I could prolly do something in WA as lons as the dive isn't too bad. Levenworth is 7 hours give or take for me. Quote
RuMR Posted March 10, 2004 Author Posted March 10, 2004 lessay smith, april 17... we can do one around here (WA) or squamish this summer...smith has the most reliable weather in april... Quote

Distel32 Posted March 10, 2004 Posted March 10, 2004 you really want to entrust one of your children to me?? You know they will turnout to be a hardcore boulderer Quote
Billygoat Posted March 10, 2004 Posted March 10, 2004 babysitting? I thought the idea was to take the kids climbing And then get plastered after they go to bed. Quote
