catbirdseat Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 I'll bet many of you think this place is better off without the likes of trask. I don't. Even though his comments may be inane, I think they tend to keep threads flowing, by drawing people's attention to them. Quote
vegetablebelay Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 Yep, this place is as dry as summitpost without Trask, Dru, Caveman, Dwayner, GregW and a few others. Will the last person leaving cc.com please turn off the server? Quote
Billygoat Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 So is it official; Trask is banned? Â If he is, for how long? And, is GregW banned also? Â Free Dwayner Quote

Bug Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 He lives like a rat, thinks like a snake, and posts like a Dru. CC ratings are bound to plummet. Quote
catbirdseat Posted January 22, 2004 Author Posted January 22, 2004 It's rather strange that I should be so fond of someone who is just about the polar opposite of myself in almost every way. Quote

Even though his comments may be inane, I think they tend to keep threads flowing, by drawing people's attention to them. Much like the spectacle of an accident keeps traffic flowing. Â speaking of the spectacle of an accident, i think there should be a full expose' on why trask was banned (if in fact he was). i think there should be lengthy discussions of the banning, complete with people holding one hand over the mouth and pointing with the other (i.e. was it porn?). i think greta van stern should interview legal experts on banning on the fox network, only to interupt her guests mid sentence when the conversation isn't going the way she wants. Â and what of the '1984/reign of terror' aspects of banning? why are we not not told who was banned and why? a sprayer is there one day and gone the next. they disappear - presumably sent to some cyberspace gulag. Â ban trask if you want, i just want the juicy details. Quote
E-rock Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 Jesus Christ, why would anyone continue to start one of these ridiculous threads? So what? He's banned. If you don't think he's going to be back, you've lived in this internet fantasy land for far too many hours of your life. Just like Trask. Quote

mtn_mouse Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 Whew. I hope I don't get banned for poaching too many page tops the other day! Quote
catbirdseat Posted January 22, 2004 Author Posted January 22, 2004 mtn_mouse, the new attitude. Quote
mtn_mouse Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 I just heard on CNN (ususally I get my news from Spray, not from CNN, but oh well....) They said that Cuba has banned it's citizens from accessing the internet now. Was Trask from CUBA??? Was he Elian?? Quote
arlen Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 I agree that it's relatively quiet in spray without trask, and that at his best he could inspire entertaining controversy. But most of the time he just imitated capt. caveman's quasi-moronic style and was too busy flame baiting to come up with anything clever or even entertaining. Â Personally, I think a banned avatar ought to be permanently banned. If the person behind the curtain has the means to re-avatar they will, but an identity on the board is a valuable thing: low post count = newbie gaper like me or given to pointless offensiveness. It might encourage one to think it over before firing off another audacious-for-the-sake-of-audacity post, and it might keep that particular quality in spray. Maybe not. Quote
vegetablebelay Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 If Trask were here he'd tell you to fuck off Arlen. Quote
Off_White Posted January 23, 2004 Posted January 23, 2004 ...ban trask if you want, i just want the juicy details. girlclimber Posted January 23, 2004 Posted January 23, 2004 If Trask were here he'd tell you to fuck off Arlen. Â actually, i think he would say "fuck off, you good-fer-nothin, panty-munchin dickwad" Quote
Fairweather Posted January 23, 2004 Posted January 23, 2004 I'll bet Trask is busy at the Seattle Boat Show, workin' hard... which seems to be anathema to so many of you posting from your employer's computers all afternoon. Bunch of lazy time bandits. Quote
Thinker Posted January 23, 2004 Posted January 23, 2004 Alondro misses trask too:  web page  Date: 03/08/2003 From: ALONDRA   Poem by Alondra written December 3, 2003  (the first and third stanzas were written by Mike.)  ODE TO TRASK  If the Lord God had sent me Then the witch would fall She'd be gone and I would be NOT inside this wall!  But because I am an evil man, A sanctimonious prig, When Barnabas walled me up Everyone danced a jig.  But all that dancing hurt his head And made him want to scream So he came back from the dead To haunt the dancer's dream.  He wanted his revenge, So he took morter and brick He walled up Barnabas and hoped That would do the trick.  But Josette's ghost saw him And let Julia and Willie know That Barnabas was in the wall To him they had to go.  Willie removed all the bricks As Julia stood by Then Barnabas said with great relief "I thought I was gonna die!"  This is the tale of what happened To one "Reverend" Trask. If you want more of my sorry poetry All you have to do is ask!"  But no one in their right mind will! ROTFL!!! Quote
