Double_E
Â mmmmm.... Alaskan Winter Ale. Â Maybe not quite my favorite winter brew, (that'd have to be Snowcap or Wassail), but i DO like the spruce needles... think they give it a very nice woodsy taste. Apparently, spruce tips were a common beer ingredient during colonial times, partially cuz of their preservative qualities. Â Only one of the many batches of beer I've brewed included spruce needles, but it was so-damn-good. (if I may say so meself) Â i gotta get back into brewing some day.... maybe just maybe this autumn. Â

Dechristo
It's probably not seasonal, but I was hooked-up recently with a beer that pleasingly imitates the taste of a stout brewed locally, Deschutes Brewery "Obsidian Stout". I've just killed the last one from my fridge so I'll have to move on to the standby low-brow Newcastle Browns.
Duchess
It's not a beer, but it is seasonal (and almost in season!) I love the Big Time's barley wine. Mmmmmmm. Plus it's cheap - usually two glasses gives me a warm glow for the rest of the night!
Dechristo
The barley wines usually carry a higher alcohol content, ergo, the "warm glow".
