Bronco Posted September 18, 2003 Posted September 18, 2003 You have to wonder what this guy was thinking. Â "The second squid to wash up in recent days was a 191-lb female and was found by a man swimming. He told a Reuters photographer he had attached one of the tentacles to a float and dragged the creature toward the shore." Â Who's to say the Squid wasn't sleeping. I imagine a 200lb squid could cause a bad day if woken up while some yahoo was tieing it's tentacle to a float. In a battlecage with giant squid, my money's on the squid. Â Anyone else see the piece on 60 minutes II last night about the lady who swam 1 mile in the Antarctic Sea in a bathing suit? Hardcore! Â Â Quote
catbirdseat Posted September 18, 2003 Posted September 18, 2003 Found at depths of up to 5652 feet. They die at depths of 5653 ft. Quote
RuMR Posted September 18, 2003 Posted September 18, 2003 Yeah...i saw that on 60 minutes...fucking unbelievable...30 degree water in just an ordinary swimsuit and she's in it for almost half an hour!!! Â I almost have a heartattack when my wetsuit floods in puget sound water...and that's a balmy 48 or so...good god... Quote
Squid Posted September 19, 2003 Posted September 19, 2003 Let's have some respect here. Do you have any idea how difficult it is to find a 190lb female who'll go to the surface with me? Sure, there are other squid in the oceans, but that doesn't ease the pain. Give me some time. Quote
MrDoolittle Posted September 19, 2003 Posted September 19, 2003 I bet you're a short squid with a smoking problem Quote

johnny_destiny Posted September 20, 2003 Posted September 20, 2003 Wow, Dru...I'll make sure I never have the companies that I represent insure any of the firms doing squid research. Would be hell to have to pay for clients with squid sperm injected in their skin. Quote
klenke Posted September 21, 2003 Posted September 21, 2003 Squid, is that your photo in your avatar image? If so, you've got to be one of the ugliest squids I've ever seen. Now wonder you can't get any female squids to go on a surface date with you. Quote
Squid Posted September 21, 2003 Posted September 21, 2003 Don't be dense, Klenke. My real color is more of a eggshell-cream, not a flat white. Otherwise the avatar's dead-on. BTW, I just got a new job...how about you? Quote
Dru Posted September 22, 2003 Author Posted September 22, 2003 BLAME THE MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX!!! squid killers Quote
