DPS Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 Is anyone else tired of Flatland's dumbass questions? Quote
JoshK Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 Relax, the poor guy is probably just overwhelmed with anticipation of leaving the hellhole of the flatlands. He is also dillusional thinking every weekend is going to be good weather for him. Quote
flatland Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 (edited) OK, OK, OK! So, want to kick my butt. So a guy ask 13 stupid questions and he earn his own thread? I've been in school for 20 years and I get stupider each year. Just have alittle mercy and tell me how you all say such smart things. Edited April 8, 2003 by flatland Quote
fleblebleb Posted April 9, 2003 Posted April 9, 2003 Hahaha DPS you made me go read the snow caves thread. Â Flatland: "Are the snow conditions good in June?" DPS: "Uh, depends on the weather. Aaargh" Â Quote
DPS Posted April 9, 2003 Author Posted April 9, 2003 I apologize for using the term 'dumbass'. I hope I did not hurt your feelings. Your questions are all valid, however, I would expect someone who is planning to climb routes like Ptarmigan Ridge, Thin Red Line and Slesse to have their systems worked out. Your questions made it sound like you had your routes all picked out, now you just need to buy the gear and learn how to use it. I have done most of the routes you mentioned but it took me 10 years and many attempts before catching the right snow conditions and weather. Quote
flatland Posted April 10, 2003 Posted April 10, 2003 Ummm, thanks, I guess. And I'm touched by your deep concern. I have done several climbs of this difficulty before. I have 70 consecutive days of climbing time to kill this summer. What would you do? Go to index . . . and crag? Quote
erik Posted April 10, 2003 Posted April 10, 2003 flute. Â you still seem bent on that whole index thing. Â anyone can hike up hill for days. but only real men can flash 5.6! Â funny. Â if i have not climbed your projects i will this summer and with 30 days cragging! Â that way i can flash your 5.4 cruxes, with your old lady in my back pocket! Â ha! Â Quote
specialed Posted April 10, 2003 Posted April 10, 2003 If I had 70 days..... Â Yosemite, Index, Stuart Range, Squamish, assorted alpine rock in western BC, Bugaboos, then Candian Rockies (Banff Jasper area) Â Quote

specialed Posted April 10, 2003 Posted April 10, 2003 OH! snow slogging, you mean what you do to get to the real climbing. Usually with all the ginseng and buddha I don't even remember that part of the day. Quote
