We haven't been getting along very well recently and for that, I am truly sorry. I'm sorry we called George Bush a moron. He is a moron, but it wasn't nice of us to point it out. If it's any consolation, the fact that he's a moron shouldn't reflect poorly on the people of America. After all it's not like you actually elected him. I'm sorry about our softwood lumber. I mean, when you're going up against a crazed dictator, you wanna have your friends by your side. And finally on behalf of all Canadians, I'm sorry that we're constantly apologizing for things in a passive-aggressive way which is really a thinly veiled criticism. Over $1,000 so there's my aunt with her sewing kit out pulling stitches on the kitchen table!! No shit eh!! The American Medical system has the highest inefficiency rate in the world: most spending per capita, for least results. Triumph of private enterprise eh Fairweather. Only people making money, are the drug pushers, for-profit hospitals etc. Hey if I go in hospital, I dont want some bean counter figuring out if its cost effective to treat me or off me and make it look like a surgical mistake... The fact that we live in a country that is responsible for a large % of medical breaktroughs, drug research, etc. and a person who doesn't make a lot isn't even guaranteed treament is just plain wrong. Doctors should most definitely be compensated well for their work. They work hard to get where they are, and work hard on the job. Taxpayers are bled severely. Even ultra-liberal Oregon shot down a Canada-style health system last November. 70% no vote? So what about all Canada's other problems?
