  1. You are indeed an evil man, Dru. The embodiment of evil.
  2. That's too bad it's the outside arm. It appears as though the middle arm is the "defect" and would be easier to remove without requiring massive shoulder reconstruction. A shame...
  3. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh! That has to be the most gross thing I have ever seen on the web! ...and next time, put the NSFW warning a little closer to the link in question...
  4. That's pretty sad. The child appears to be of Asian extraction; any link to the cause of the birth defect in the host country? Rampant environmental poisoning? Any plans for removal of the extra appendage? Linkage, linkage, linkage...

    What?

Happy Birthday, girlie. Have a good time, Kris.
  6. Once again, my old skewlness is confirmed, for I use Wild Country Friends, the original.
  7. This is the answer. According to Rigging For Rescue of Ouray, CO, the ratio of prusik cord diameter to host rope diameter is 2/3 to 3/4.
  8. all roped activities...?? Sorry, tm, but somebody was gonna do it. Mighta well as been me.

    Breaking News!!!!

Naaah, not stoopid enuff for a Darwin Award. They're just run-of-the-mill stupid. It's SOP for rural Lewis County.
  11. Sweet! I shoulda thought of that...
  12. I cunt hear you, I have an ear infucktion.
  13. On summit slogs, I usually bring along ~400 cc (half a bottle) of red wine for dinner with my boil-up noodles. I always bring along a nalgene flask of Rumpleminz schapps for my hot chocolate... for weekend cragging, the sky's the limit. This weekend I expect I'll go through two bottles of Cab Sauv and a half rack of Fat Tires or Black Butte Porters.
  14. Dox, Sadly, yes it sees it's fair share of snowmobiles from the east side, depending upon where you're headed (don't know about from the Crystal Mountain side). Off of SR 410, where the Little Naches river crosses beneath the highway, is the turn-off for Forest Road 19. This road goes to Kaner Flats, heavily used by sled-heads. They park and unload here, and take off northwest towards Raven's Roost, and many make the run over Naches Pass, skirting the Norse Peak Wilderness Area to the north, and end up all the way over in Greenwater. If your intended location is anywhere along this line, think about going somewhere else. Cheers!
  15. Partner found! Thanks, 112. See ya this weekend! W00t! w00t!
  16. Aw c'mon now, O_W, ya know ya wanna go!
  17. Then you're obviously not Kitergal. Maria/Kitergal is a poster here, and let's just say that she claims she goes through a lot of batteries... and not for cameras and headlamps and such... It's a little game we play here on this board.
  18. Knottygirl = Maria = Kitergal
  19. 50% chance of rain... either it will, or it won't. Seriously, I don't put too much faith in weather forecasts for areas outside of the major metro areas. Nobody (but us) cares much about mountain weather, so no one's very good at predicting it for those areas. You interested?
  20. It's me again, wanting to go to Lightning Dome again, for the long weekend. If you need any area particulars, this old thread might help.
  21. OK, my last chance just called and said he was going with his other partner to Vantage So, are ya up for Clearwater?
  22. See my reply to your newer post. Time is of the essence...
  23. What kind of climbing are you interested in? At what level do you lead/follow? I've not received a solid confirmation for a partner yet for this upcoming weekend (two are "maybes" ) for my trip to Lightning Dome in Idaho (about 2.5 hours from where you currently are located - primarily steep granodiorite slabs, with some crackage). If you know how to get there, I'll be at Meadow Creek campground around midnight tomorrow night. Dark green 2-door Exploder with Mountain Rescue stickers on the side windows. I drink, but don't bite. see this site
  24. I checked the User List, but couldn't find him... I didn't check all the possible permutations of his username, just the Bill Shatner one. He's prolly just lurkin'...
  25. The Kirk Rock photo (the Shatner one, of course) is just pure O_W classicness! Isn't that the episode with the Gorn (walking man-sized lizard thingie) that Kirk defeats by making a crude gunpowder and bamboo cannon that uses obsidian projectiles? Episode name, please, O_W? "The Arena" comes immediately to mind, but I'm old...
