    Photo storage

    I've used smugmug.com - It's cheap.
  3. What exactly makes a rope: "Particularly useful for handling by young people"? http://www.bdel.com/gear/rock/wall_master_v.php
  4. Sorry. Gin supply is running low. Send limes & tonic too. eBay bidding is a pet peeve. Why people insist on bidding in miniscule icrements on eBay I'll never understand. Figure out how much you're willing to pay, then bid that, and walk away. If you win, you win, if you lose, you didn't overpay. Your odds of getting snaked are less. Of course the bidding wars are what make it a great place to sell stuff

    Immigration Law

So you marry an American, intending to apply for citizenship. He gets hit by a truck. You get deported? http://www.oregonlive.com/news/oregonian/index.ssf?/base/front_page/1085141498238930.xml
  6. If your going to give lectures, know what your taking about. When you bid on eBay you enter a maximum bid amount - eBay will then bid automatically for you up to that maximum amount. You have know idea what the maximum bid is - it may be $76, it may be $76,000. It's probably in between.
  7. I just bought a Bugette. So far I've only used to rap 8mm cord - like it. Light, nice, raps controlled.
  8. About an album. 512MB SD Card is $99. which makes it $189. And you can buy a 10GB iPod for $199
  9. Sabertooths or Grivel 2F's. You can even move the front bail on the sabertooths back to give you more protruding point - if that's what you mean by proper fit.
  10. I've tried Endurox & Cytomax. Cytomax is not only cheaper, but I've found it works better (for me).
  11. Lowell- Have these or any of the other films been transferred to Video or DVD?
  12. I subscribed for the 1st 4 issues, and let it lapse. Not because it's not good - it's excellent. I just didn't find myself sitting down regularly to read it - but I don't read many magazines anymore period (gear reviews/beta are better on the web, mountain porn is better in book form) The AAJ is yearly - but has more routes, pictures, and things to dream about than anything else.
  13. The way I understand it, AMGA Guide != UIAGM guide, unless your an AMGA Rock, Alpine & Ski Guide. There are only 30 or so UIAGM guides in the AMGA.
  14. So go and start a "fair and balanced" climbing site.
  15. Indeed. And it's good to remember that we don't want to live in either the government state (Communitst Russia) or the corporate state (Nazi Germany)
  16. Bringing this back from the wayback machine for more feedback.
  17. Note the "5 year plans" & the like that these economy loved. Maximise Nearterm Benefits regardless of longterm cost.
  18. If they haven't declared bankruptcy. PP- Name one industry that CARES about a ROI 40 years from now! The timber companies care only about maintaining the same book value of their cutting lands - which is based on lumber extant.
  19. It's very much the point PP. The lawn is emblematic of most private land ownership - it's managed to maximise a single, or small group, of resources. LP with forest, ranches with cows (or elk), Iceland's private rivers with Salmon, or us with our yards. Show me one private enterprise that's managed it's lands for the benefit of the ecosystem as a whole
  20. Rope up - and end up with another massive accident?
  21. And most every other guidebook mentioned on this thread. Course $75 year is a bit much for a library, IMHO
  22. That's because first flight isn't till next year.
