Thanks for the updates. That makes more senses about down trees then the snow level at lower elevations closing the road. Sounds like I may be adding a couple of thousand feet to my climb.

Hi All! Looking for a detail report on FR-80 / FR-8040 leading into Cold Springs on Mt Adams. I know that the Forest Service is reporting that the road is close, but does anybody have first hand knowledge of the "truck accessibility" towards Cold Springs. Trying to plan how much hiking in we'll need to do. Thanks for any input...
