I'm looking at a climbing/skiing trip to turkey. So far I've found slim to no information (well - a couple of cicerone guides, an old LP trekking, various magazine articles). Anyones have any advice to offer?
That's a very good question. I wish I had an answer I'm going to be in Cali for a couple weeks, then Argentina & Chile for 4-5. That's the current plan. After that I'm not really sure.....

Seriously - I'd prefer to see US ski areas evolve to where your lift ticket pays for the US of the lifts and a portion of controlled pistes. If you want to ski elsewhere, have at it - at your own risk.

From my vantage point it looked like the ice failed at the top of the bulge.
One of the primary impacts of "global warming" is increased "instability". Greater temperature fluctuations, record drought followed by rain, etc. In short, the end of "normal" seasons.
