    Top 19!
  2. What do you think is the best U.S. climbing town to live in (not skiing town). Factors include: 1.)access to high quality local climbing you can do after work without much effort. 2.)How close is it to other, more varied climbing areas that you could reasonably climb for the weekend at without driving all night long? 3.)Weather. How many climbable days a year are there? 4.)Scenery. Is it a pretty place to live? 5.)Local Culture. Will you live in a uni-bomber cabin lusting after the one single girl within 500 miles? Movies, restaurants, nightlife, good places to spend a non-climbing day? I'd say Seattle is in the top 10, losing most of it's draw in #3 Other contenders: Mammoth Lakes, Bend, Boulder, Bellingham, Bozeman, Jackson, Las Vegas, Durango, and Salt Lake City. I don't know what I'd call #1

  4. huh?
  5. Damn Mark, that is awful. Thanks for the heads up.
  6. Yeah Dru, your mom isn't as wet as she used to be
  7. I have never had it, but it's an aggrevated bundle o' nerves along your metatarsal. M/C cause is your shoes are too narrow or you've lost your anterior arch. Try a met-head pad and wider shoes, ice it and see if that works. I imagine surgery on it ain't such a successful one, d/t all those nerves.
  8. Choose the American Alpine Institute. Great guides and great staff...and they teach you a lot. I learned to climb with them
  9. So after a few months, I'd have to say they are good hikers, very comfy, and held up great. Major downside, they don't stick to rock worth a goddamn.
  10. And a good opinion it is!

    Bellingham

Diamond Jim's 2,2,2 platter (on state street and ohio) for breakfast. Boundary Bay on Railroadif you like really strong beers that have high headache potential after more than one is consumed. Casa Que Pasa on Railroad gets my vote for best cheap eats and booze. For late night, the Russian Dumpling place across from the bars on State St.
  12. Sounds like a biomechanical issue and what I treat daily. You're more than welcome to come in, or get a referral to someone else.
  13. Hey! I was busy at work all day.... Anyway, just like any field, there are good MDs and bad ones, just like chiropractors. If chiropractic just isn't working, then by all means, explore other avenues. I would start with an MRI to see what's going on. One cortisone shot shouldn't kill ya, but usually they don't help much for low back pain. It may, however, take the edge off enough for the chiropractor, accupuncturist, physical therapist, and/or massage therapist to start doing some good. It just depends on what the problem is, so I'd get an MRI if I were your friend. If nothings shows, then try a bunch of differnt treatments to find what works. If it is the disc, I would go with the chiro, sometimes it takes a bit more time to get over the hump (which the cortisone may do ... but don't get too many shots!!!). Everyone is gonna say their treatment is the best, or course, so I'd start with least invasive to most invasive. If your friend wants a consultation, he or she can certainly meet with me, I won't charge for talking with him/her.

    Michael Clayton

I saw the preview and couldn't tell if they were saying Clayton or layton. I was saying please please please don't let it be my name. Thank god it wasn't, that would really suck!
  15. You shouldn't thank people in advance for a favor they haven't done yet, it's very passive aggressive. Might as well ask for the TPS reports done on saturday. And your welcome, although, I supposed I sprayed. Thanks for not minding this post!!!
  16. I got an epileptic fit watching that. Anyone want the entire cd of shatner and nemoy? I've got it. Lucy in the Sky and Highly Illogical are also top notch tunes....they go in sync with old gumby re-runs
  17. Nice!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Bravest little hobbit of them all
  19. Okokok, I'm just used to Ivan stirring the pot and Wherly passing out ontop of his tent.
  20. As always, cc.com outings are a true: Thanks all who helped out, and to the slideshow presenters. I must say the tone is a WHOLE lot different than the tufflove fests at smith with the cc.com crew. Not as openly friendly of a crew...which seems to be very Seattle
  21. Justin, First off you need to rest and ice. Bromelain will help with the inflammation without stressing your liver or stomach. You have a mild muscle strain (microtears in the muscle), and the pain response is spreading to your shoulder musculature (deep referred pain). Hold off on deep stretching for a couple days, but keep the area mobile with light range of motion movement. The tingling and numbness you are experiencing is the beginings of thoracic outlet syndrome. The nerves exiting your neck pass through your shoulder area and are being compressed because of your injury. This can develop into a very chronic problem of shoulder impingement, neck pain, and numb hands from the thoracic outlet syndrome.
  22. maybe my memory is wrong ... either way - the moves are there (worst beta ever)
