  1. anyone remember how pissed off people were when captain caveman (where are you btw?) posted that he, susi, and i cut down the tree on the GNS? that was pretty funny.
  2. i really liked that dog. it was super cute and i petted it and let it lick my hand for a while. but at the same time part of me wanted to see the goat spread its entrails across the talus. those roofs are choice. the only issue is the crux getting over the 1st roof has extremely loose stacked blocks for the feet and would've ended MisterE's excellent adventure if i used them.
  3. yeah you can link the 5.10 and 5.11 pitches...different gear (tiny shit on 5.10 med/small stuff on 5.11) i tried cuz the 5.11 looked like 5.9 and i was like hmmmm this must be hard cuz of ropedrag? nope. that is the single most decieving 5.11 pitch i've ever seen. super low angled and looks like you can hand rail the whole thing. think again! oh, and the 5.11 pitch wasn't wet (were you thinking of the CRB 5.11 pitch?), but the 1st pitch was a snot drippy seam of pleasure.
  4. lets climb when i'm back in oregon this fall...i'm good for now.
  5. here's a pic of skyclimb from just inside the 1st chimney. my camera cord got in the way.
  6. shit dude! nice!
  7. you should solo the hogsback (but pm yourself to make sure). just joking. anyway, those routes aren't my bag, but i know they are plent o' folks interested. have fun!
  8. no thanks! i'm in bellingham and have a moratorium on glaciated peak slogs. look at that guy who's a NOLS alum (just posted for a partner) i bet he'd be perfect.
  9. Funny friggin TR. even funnier and good times for reals. i'm sure we ruined many a climber/hiker's wilderness experience! sorry about puking in your yard mark! and for the guys on the SW rib, those photos i took of you sucked...sorry didn't bother posting them like i said i would. wish i saw the dog skewering! i was busy in the seam. anyone know which is the easier crack after the traverse on p1? the left crack was waaay hard...grey tcu and little rp on an unsecure 5.10 was scary. i had to take and fiddle w/gear. the right crack looked easier, but a f'd up traverse into. the top of the 5.11 pitch is very hard! thank you bush! thank you Mrs Butterworth! the 3rd pitch was sooo much fun going off route! what a great off route pitch. too bad i had to downclimb the whole thing and go up the shitty dirt seam. MisterE was a fun and fantastic partner! sorry about smoking a cig, thought the wind was blowing differently. should'a bitched me out, i'm used to being bitched out. what a super fun happy goodtimes day! i was sad to hike out, although i was tiiiiiired and groggy! felt like hurling all day long. oh and that boulder problem is SICK!!! I didn't top out...maybe next time. I was FREAKED without the spotter
  10. try and talk to jesus one last time
  11. I yell "SPRING BREEEAAAKKKK!"
  12. dude, shut your cakehole
  13. i ususally fake a french accent and "no parlezvous engleesh" to avoid that question...or give a big YES regardless of the truth cuz they like that.
  14. oh and did you guys get any shots of the N faces of the southern pickets? that'd be neat to see. super awesome photos!
  15. nice. yeah that "5.8" chimney is a bit more challenging than expected!
  16. way to hang in there through the nasty weather! sooooo......see any good routes to do in the future..hint hint?
  17. what a cool climb! nice guys!
  18. that's one of the reasons i went to chiropractic school instead of med school. PT's are good but they can't diagnose...so you gotta see an md 1st. I'd see a chiropractor in Oregon who are also licensed to do PT. If you're in WA i'm not sure if insurance companies will accept a chiropractors referral to a pt. worth a call. if not, go call your doc and get a referral over the phone. if he or she says no tell 'em to get bent.
  19. wouldn't know? my truck is nice and cozy though
  20. thanks john. got a partner for this week

i don't think a new leader should be on the bottom section of godzilla! that's terrible advice!
  22. found a madrock (orange color) shoe in the burly vines and thorns below gandalf's grip area at broughton bluff some weeks ago. just remembered. it's in my car and i am in here, so i can't tell ya what size or right or left. but you should know if you're missing one mad rock orange colored shoe.
  23. i would reccomend having someone perform muscle tests on your hip flexors, adductors, abbuctors, and hamstrings too isolate if a particular group of muscles is weak...not just tight. tight and weak go hand in hand. weak muscles become tight. and yoga doesn't stregnthen those muscles. that combined with a hip stabilization track (exercises much like those in pilates) should help. but there could also be a biomechanical problem (the way your hip sockets/femoral head are positioned). it's hard to say...go spend some money and see someone if the problem lasts more than 2 weeks.
  24. On the flip side, it really sucks to work in a gear shop when someone comes in after having done all the research (to the most minute detail) and then starts asking you questions they already know then answers to. you give your opionion only to have the customer spit back some catalogue bullshit to contradict or challenge you. i'm sure anyone that's worked outdoor retail knows exactly what i'm talking about. oooohhhhhh that's annoying.
