Too old?? Apparently not 70 Year old Woman Becomes the World's Oldest Mother With Birth of Twins Just think baby twins, ain't they cute

Call up/email the local FS. Tell them where you were and describe what you saw. I do some volunteer patrolling, and the FS asks for information like this. There's lots of places for snowmobiling outside of Wilderness areas.

I viewed it as more of a joke than either threat or promise. Who knows. I'm willing to bet 10-cents the Republican Party doesn't nominate Santorum for president at the convention. I will stick to that promise for sure
-
I wouldn't be too bummed out leaving/ask to leave a country in the hands of Santorum. I've already got my WA State Enhanced Drivers License, or passport of the future.

I forget details, but I believe there a nice trip starting at the base of Robson and traveling past Berg lake and then eastward. Once past the main campground near Berg lake you'll leave most people behind. The Tonquin valley south of Jasper is spectacular.

Survey: Electronic Communication Devices and risk
AlpineK replied to Matt Wagner's topic in Climber's Board
Electronic devices receive lots of press these days, and adds online and in magazines promote them as safety devices. In any case I had to bump this and promote the survey. The UI Outdoor Program is a great resource. -

Instead of squabbling over a shitter in Spray it would be nice to hear from somebody with real world experience building or designing highway rest stops. Maybe somebody has bought and sold one. What did the Hatton Coolee Rest Stop cost and how much to maintain? [img:center]http://mw2.google.com/mw-panoramio/photos/small/34669353.jpg[/img] Hatton Coolee

Right, Our party will get rid of Obamacare and government funded shitters!

Yeah, but if you bought a 3.2 million dollar home, do you want people pounding on the door at all hours seven days a week asking to use the bathroom.
Rogers Pass January 25-31st - 1/25/2012
AlpineK replied to PowderGangster's topic in the *freshiezone*
Yeah, I thought of that after posting. The coquihalla changes driving. I still have memories of long drives up the Frazier canyon on HWY-1 heading towards Kamloops -

I'm a bigger fan of driving to Spokane then north on HWY-2 to Sandpoint ID. From there straight north to Golden and west on HWY-1 to Rogers. -
Sometimes the world away from Spray debates on CC becomes more interesting, or important.

Maybe the citizens of Elbe rioted after hearing all the out of townees saying, "Oh you're from Elbe, that filthy place with all the porta-potties."
Rogers Pass January 25-31st - 1/25/2012

If you're looking for a place to stay and never been there there is the Best Western at the pass. Even if you don't stay there go into the bar for a drink. When we were last there they had a ton of stuffed animals in the bar. We all started laughing when we saw the stuffed bald eagle. There's also the AO Wheeler hut just west of the pass and below Sir Donald. The ACC runs it. I don't know the rates, but you can ask. ACC Facilities -Wheeler Hut If you don't stay there Revelstoke is a bit of a drive. The park service has an information center at the pass. They provide weather and avalanche forecasting. "You can ski there, but we are blasting it..." -
I've never gone shopping for a highway rest stop. The designer has to figure out the maximum shit/hr to expect then see if it will fit into the Elbe sewer system. If not they have to add extra treatment facilities. Porta-potties and a pump truck making routine stops might work, but then you need to worry about hooligans out tipping porta-potties for fun. So many factors

I'd have to say I had more respect for McCain than I do for the current group of repubs. I wasn't going to vote for him, but I did think he had the right experience and skills to be a candidate. Of course picking Sarah Palin as his first act was a really bad decision. Still...

Is there a remix-techno version? I can't dance to this! Actually there is a techno version [video:youtube]

There are a few religious folks who think climate change is a problem. It ain't just god haters http://www.christianpost.com/news/us-religious-leaders-unite-to-fight-global-warming-27553/ Leave the world nicer than you found it. Seems like a good idea.

Nope, Chrome. I'll try Firefox Edit: Firefox does the same thing. It's the Fitness Singles add that blocks all the links on the right side
-
I have noticed problems with adds on the upper right hand of the photo gallery. All of the adds seem to obscure the links on the upper right hand side. Adds from the AAC and others partially obscure the links. I can use the links even with the add shading. There is a dating add with a bright red background color. When that add comes up I can't identify or use the links. I don't care if the add is there or not, but it does bother me when I can't see or use the links.
