Back to the main subject. It is an undisputed fact that dislike of America in the rest of the world is growing. Why should we care? Well for one thing it's easier to do business with or negotiate with countries that like us. Making everyone happy is both impossible and wrong however forcing the rest of the world to do things our way is equally wrong. The US under Bush has backed out of a bunch of international agreements and started a war that they didn't have widespread consensus over. Now individually there may be merit for what Bush has done, however when you look at the big picture it's easy to see how the rest of the world sees us as dictatorial.

j b, I think you and Mtn Goat should get a room without a computer and consummate your obvious love for each other. Many CC.com folks would rejoice if the 2 of you never posted on political topics again.

It all depends on how comfortable you are on snow. If your hesitant about crossing a slope due to conditions/steepness/runout then an ice axe would be a better choice. If not poles help you balance and thus move faster.

Wrong again you moron. I don't agree with, but read, many of Fairweather's posts, however I've long since given up reading any of the crap you write.

Bla bla bla fucking bla

I would like to be even handed here. Even though I couldn't be bothered to read the whole thread, MtnGoat and j b you are both fucking idiots. I hope you spend eternity sitting in vats of human vomit and or shit.

My favorite guru/philosopher/adviser always tells me when I ask how I should deal with lifes problems,"Figure it out for yourself fuckwad.....and bring me a beer god dang it."

I'm down with that place in Ballard.

I just get tired of the latest personality that's going to help everyone. Sure we all need outside help with problems in our lives from time to time, but turning it into a media/pesonality/hype thing annoys me. I listen to those AM talk radio show when I'm trying to stay awake driving cross-country, but when I'm at home there's no way I would listen to that garbage.

Fuck Dr Phill and fuck all those TV/Radio advice people. There all a bunch of jackasses and you're an idiot to listen to them.

Mike Adamson a couple of his friends and I skied the SW chutes on Adams on Saturday. We left Tacoma at about 1 PM and drove down to the south side of the mountain. There were only a couple patches of snow at the end of the road, so we hiked our skis up a mile or so. We camped near timberline ate dinner and watched the sun set. As soon as it got totally light we headed up the dog slog. I got up to the false summit a while after 9 AM and hung out with the masses. Mike showed up pretty soon thereafter, but we ended up napping for a while till the other 2 showed up. One of Mike's friends T was kind of tired, so we had to do a little brow beating to get him to summit. The summit was crouded, but waiting on the false summit allowed the snow up top to get soft. Skiing back to the false summit was alright, which is about as good as I think it ever gets, but the main event started below the false summit. The SW chutes drop off to the west of the main S side route. The slope is pretty dam cool. It stays at a fairly constant 35 degree angle and drops about 3000'. The snow in the chute was smooth and soft but not too slushy. We skied the gully till it opened out and then traversed out high. The hike out was kind of a pain; I'm not sure if we went the best way, but eventually we got back to camp drank a beer and then headed back to the car. All and all a fun trip! I don't ever have to summit Adams with skis again, but I could ski the chutes a few more times.

That's ok. You must be a genius to upload a bunch of naked pictures of yourself to the internet and think that none of us would find them.

Sorry guys and especially MN. My Avatar is the Horse from Ren and Stimpy. You folks are so uneducated when it comes to classic cartoons.

If there was work for me up there I would think about it.

Well, Gee...If they weren't out there on the web (UW Student), I didn't put all of those on the web. I posted one and that doesn't give you the right to snoop my private directory of storage space and post everything esle. You wanna use my pictures? ASK me, it's that simple. Well bullcrap, you started posting pictures of yourself like there was no tomorrow (including some kiddy porn type stuff). On top of that you've behaved like an ass online. As they say, "What comes around goes around." On CascadeClimbers this is especially true in Spray. Tough luck honey; maybe you'll learn a little lesson out of all this.

Yeah if Peter Pungent gets his new Rock Climbing Forum then I want a new Tree Climbing Forum Trees are not aid in the PNW. Marylouhoo just walk away while you still can.
-
What about: Trad, alpine, sport, ice, aid, mixed when forced to, and bouldering when I can't think of anything better to do.

Nice to hear you guys had fun. Too bad you all seem to have Napoleon Complex.

Eiger sanction rules in terms of climbing movies Cliffhanger isn't bad but there's a lot more cheese in it. John Lithgow is a good actor! As far as westerns go Outlaw Josey Wales is good, but nothing can hold it's own against The Good The Bad And The Ugly.
