    Cassin Ridge

I have, but my info is 17 years old, so I don't know how much it would help. In general I would say that descending the W Rib would be a safer aproach to the base of the route, however you will still have to cross some monster crevases in the upper basin of the NE Fork. The only problems we had with route finding was finding a way through the rock bands above 16,000'. The gully that leads to a traverse at the top of the rock band wasn't that obvious to us, and the traverse doesn't look like it will go until it does.
  2. Umm Fairweather, machines are built by and programed by humans who can display any number of human characteristics. Partisanship is on that list. I'm sure if you look into it there is a fair system for doing a manual recount. Even if there isn't there are going to be so many people watching the recount that it will have to be. All those lawyers all primed up for a fight over the presidential race are looking for something to do. But I suppose you republicans won't hire them since you all are so against trial lawyers.
  3. You obviously can't read or do math Fairweather. The Dems will have to pay for every vote they recount. Now here's the tricky part where you failings in logic and math are highlighted. If and only if the results of the recount, which the dems will pay for, show that Gregoire did win the governers race will a statewide recount paid by taxpayers be triggered. Yes the democrats may choose to only pay for a recount in a couple of areas where they feel they have the best advantage, but I would expect no less from republicans. Furthermore if the paid recount does cast doubt on the results I think it's only fair for the state to pay for a complete recount. It seems to me that if Rossi really did win then you wont have to worry about any of your tax money being spent on recounts. If there's a reason to doubt his victory then it's only fair for taxpayers to fund a full recount in the name of democracy. Your notion that the democrats can, "mine out," votes is fucked up. the votes are there or they aren't. Perhaps your low self esteem leads you to this paranoid view. As far as I know neither DeVry or the U of Phoenix offer a BS in mathematics. You really did live downwind from the Asarco smelter when you were a child didn't you.
  4. I've got a 4X4 Chevy pickup. Am I close?
  5. So you can't win through logic so you resort to personal attacks. BTW it's well known that Carl Sagan loved to smoke pot, and he had a PhD in Physics. AK, you are the master of the personal attack, so don't cry when someone comes back at you in kind. Carl Sagan, while certainly adept at translating astro-physics into laymans terms, wasn't that highly regarded by his peers. (Maybe because they could see the dulling effect of his habit?) I'm not upset that you attacked me; quite the contrary. I think it's funny to watch you flounder. Speaking of floundering, you said earlier that the State would have to foot the bill for any recount. This is not true at all. For a hand recount the democratic party will have to pay 25 cents per vote counted. Should the results of this recount overturn the election then the state would pay for an additional recount. So there is only one recount that will definitely happen and the democrats are the only ones who will pay for it. Face it you don't know what you're talking about, and the only thing you've proved is that you are an idiot republican shill. It's a good thing you've never smoked pot cause you obviously can't afford to lose any grey matter.

  7. Here's an article I found on the subject Jay. Source If you look on his home page it apears that The Economist, not a liberal hotbed, seems to think highly of him.

    Buy Nothing Day

I bought a bunch of wood and nails and other stuff. The best thing I got was a palm nailer. I spent the rest of the day in the crawl spaced under my house. But I didn't buy any christmas presents.
  9. Yes Fairweather it's you who lack an understanding of mathematics. We are talking about counting 2.8 million votes; when your canidate wins by 42 out of 2.8 million votes we are talking about an outcome that is well within the possible error. The democrats are willing to foot the bill for the recount, so it doesn't really effect you in any way. I bet if Dino lost by 42 votes the republicans would pay for a recount, and you'd be telling us it was only fair to doublecheck the results. I think you should quit whining like a little crybaby and wait for the final outcome. If you're sure of the results then there will be no problems and Dino will be governer. In the meantime find yourself a book on statistics and try and catch up...that is if you don't need to review some basic algebra first.
  10. I predict a lot of whining from Republicans about how Christine should just concede. I also predict republicans convieniently forget how much they hate lawsuits and trial lawyers when they start taking every aspect of the election to court.
  11. Hey Dave thanks for the thought, but I'm happy with my current employee...puking and all.
  12. Nice to see you Fairweather. If you want to stay on the moral highground maybe you should give up stealing stuff. On a more logical note if every one of the 536,978 people who live in Seattle voted for Christine Gregoire and the rest of the state's 2.8 million voters voted for Dino Rossi then Christine would have got 20% of the vote and Dino 80%. I think a bunch of your neighbors, the smart ones, voted for Christine Gregoire.
  13. Wimp.
  14. That's funny we were discussing something along those lines last night. If you want to get really swacked chug a bottle of robitussen and then drink a 40 ozer. You don't really get off till after you puke. No robi for me tomorrow just turkey and wine.
  15. How far down did you ski after the summit bowl?

  17. You're a mean one Mr. Grinch.
  18. I have extra gear. I'd be happy to give it away to a worthy cause, but I guess I'm too self centered to pay for shipping. Sorry.
  19. I agree. Either you can spend some tax money on public education, or you can spend a lot more money to private security companies who will keep out all those uneducated unemployable fucks who never got to go to school and so they want to steal all your stuff and burn down your house.
  20. telemark shmelemark. I'll be at Nektar tomorrow to see a show.
  21. I think you're missing the point. The Republicans originally changed their rules to prove that they were better. That's fine, but when they change them back when one of their own might get indited...that's hypocritical.
  22. You guys are missing the point. Farmers and ranchers recieve masive payments to not farm. Yet at the same time they typically hate paying taxes and vote republican. If they were really into the free market and all they wouldn't take the money and try and find a business where they could make a living without government handouts.
  23. That may be true, however when the republicans took over congress they made a point to change the rules so that no member under inditement could hold a position of power. At the time it was a dig at, as they perceived it, the corrupt democratic leadership. Now that their leader may come under inditement they want to change the rules...hypocritical to say the least. Another way to put it is Calvinball
