  1. I grew up in the US, but the first time I ever shot a rifle I was up in Canada. It seems to me if Canadians aren't alarmed at 12 year olds American kids shooting rifles then they don't have that much in the way of gun restrictions.
  2. Maybe, I have to spend 2 days in Spokane, and I might need the space in the back of my truck to sleep.
  3. I'll be coming straight from taking a test in Spokane to Rope Up. I'll be there late on the 12th.
  4. I went out to E38 this Saturday and decided to give leading a shot again. It's been 14 months since I last lead anything, but I figured I should try something easy. I ended up leading 3 pitches of 5.6. It's not a huge deal in the big picture of climbing, but considering where I was 14 months ago it's a huge deal for me.
  5. You're worried about the UN invading the US with a military? Keep me posted when they show up.
  6. Pink your whole point is with a gun you can defend yourself against anything. The folks in Ruby Ridge, Waco, and Oklahoma City had that same idea and it didn't work out to well for them. I am going to be down south in Corvallis for about 4 days when you'll be at Beacon rock, but then I have to head back north with little time for climbing. In any case I only climb with folks I've met in person prior to going to a crag.
  7. My new flag.
  8. You been talkin lot 'bout violence and ass kickin these past two days, AK. Is sat what happens when yer doctor tell ya to stay away for the wildwood weed? Actually it was booze that I was given advice about. There was no mention of any kind of weed. Without any advice I've taken it apon myself to be more sober than when I was 11 just on the chance that there might be problems. To be honest I do drink NA beer that does have less than .05% alc. I bet you aren't that sober Fairweather.
  9. Ya know I've got a plan for a Brave New World. Washington State should immediately split from our union with the USA. We should form a new country centered around. WA, OR, North ID, and MT. I would be willing to negotiate with CA and Las Vegas for membership in our new country. Furthermore we should send delegates to BC and Western Alberta and ask them to split with Canada and join our new country. In this case Edmonton and Calgary would be border towns. AK and the Yukon should form their own country, and to our east another candidate for a country would be the Dakotas and WI MN. To the south another good country would be Eastern MT, WY, CO, NV, NM, AZ, and maybe western Texas. I would hope that we would have good relationships with all those new countries. The rest of the US can fuck right off, well Louisiana isn't too bad, but they should be part of another country. I don't know what to do with Southern ID or UT. There's some cool parts, but way too many Mormons.
  10. You've been doing some cool climbs recently Blake.
  11. There's cool climbing and skiing up north, so there are lots of reasons that make it a good place to go that have little to do with fear of violence. Plus my family already owns property in Canada, so it's only a small step. You are a fucking retard to think that you could fend off the man with your wimpy ass 44. Just go back through the news and reread stories about Ruby Ridge and Waco.
  12. I've never even tried to ride a unicycle, and I don't plan on starting. The video was cool though.
  13. My grandmother kept a shotgun handy. The main use of the shotgun was to blast the crows that would land in her cherry tree and start eating all the cherries. Of course she didn't live in the big city, so there were no neighbors to call the cops to bitch about shotgun fire. She never told me about wanting to take on the man. She was tough though, and I bet she could have kicked your ass Pink.
  14. I look forward to the day when every fender bender on the roads is reported here.
  15. I think it's still summer, and I had a really cool day today. I went out to E38 for some climbing. After thinking about things and how I was doing I decided to step up my pace. I picked out 3 pitches of climbing. They were only 5.6, but the most important thing is I lead 3 pitches today. They were sport routes and only a wimpy 5.6, but it's still a big deal for me and another milestone. Next thing you know I'll be doing easy trad routes and harder sport routes. I haven't been excited about leading 5.6 since I was 16.
  16. I had toys like that as a kid, but I don't have a clear recollection about licking them. I do remember building plastic models planes then pouring lighter fluid on them, lighting them, then throwing them off the deck.
  17. My parents have property in Canada. I'd be out of here.
  18. I hate to butt into the serious political debate here , but just as a point of order. Fairweather I've met both you and Glasgowkiss in real life. I hate to break it to you, but Glasgowkiss would take you out in a real face to face standoff. Don't mess with crazy Poles.
  19. Peanut butter is everywhere down here; this is the land of the free. I have to say that I'm a bigger fan of almond butter despite our freedom.
  20. Cool route. Maybe a good candidate for a name is Mt. Butthead. This would work out great if there was another formation nearby you could call Mt. Beavis.
  21. We all need a little iron in our diets.
  22. The blow up doll didn't come out till after we got back from our failed climb. I'd post her picture, but that didn't seem appropriate on a web site. It is a good picture though. All in all it was a fun trip despite our failure at climbing.
  23. I bet Jeff would pitch in with you for a NA keg. You know how he LOVES that "North American" beer!!! You should ask Fern about the evening down at Smith when Jeff was offering us all NA beers until somebody pointed out that NA ment no alcohol. Jeff was bummed over his error in shopping.
  24. Those things a kind of cool, however I was unaware that they'd made it to advertising.
  25. Are you nutz, Deliverance is one of the coolest movies known to man.
