Have y'all got your 3rd quarter city and state taxes done. I just finished, and I'm proud to say I owed a little. Nothing for Employment Security or L & I, but I did have to pay up for Combine Excise Tax for state and city. Now I'm done with that crap till January.

Mushroom hunting can be scary. I remember as a kid going mushroom hunting with my folks; while out looking for good eats these idiot hunters showed up and started blasting into the woods we were in. I'm no hunter, but I don't think blasting randomly into the woods is the kind of tactic that will get you a nice deer to eat.

I won't climb Hyperspace with you, and I won't even drink a beer with you. I will see you at Rope Up though.

My earliest memory comes from the age of 1 1/2. It was winter and snowy in my parents yard. My dad had found me a pair of skis and boots. He got me all set up in the yard and gave me a push. I remember that but not much else from that time.

I worried about the bases of my skis. We were pretty picky about picking a solid snow pack and not even thinking about finding the gnar steeps. It'll take a bit more before it's truly good. I had my own reasons for wanting to be on skis so soon.

I've been to JT two times right after xmas and froze my ass. JT in February was a nice temperature though.

Yeah, I've returned to my house many times, but I've never left a large number of trips.

I don't know if he's a joke or not. One thing to his credit is I believe he's smart enough not to run for president.

It's been about 18 months since the last time I skied. We were unsure of how things would turn out this early in the ski season, but we figured what the hell. We headed up to the Baker ski area and skied up towards Table mountain. Just short of Table we found a slope that looked ok. There was lots of crud, but it was a fun time. cj at the base of the slope. It wasn't the best ever, but it was a fun time.

"oh you want to get a lead card....well I'm sure we can work something out, but it'll cost a little extra."

I'm sure it's the best possible job that every climber dreams of.

Sounds like I'll be dividing my time between skiing and evaluating messed up trees.

I worked for a guy at the UI who had been a ranger in the Tetons. He liked his job and did all kinds of fantastic stuff like rescuing folks. Eventually though his bosses told him that in order to continue he was going to have to go to cop school, learn to pack heat, and then a couple days a week bust people for speeding on the highway in the park. He liked his job enough that he did that. When he would pull people over he would try and stick to handing out warnings and lecturing folks about the risk of hitting elk and such.

If I remember right you had to pay a recent traffic fine in Canada. The exchange rate was in the US favor, but you were too lazy to get Canadian money and gave Canada a free bonus by sending US currency.
