Iron Horse I think you are referring to (and its in Westmoreland, not Sellwood but who's splitting hairs? ). Its ok--the chimichanga is yummy but then again, anything fried is good. There really aren't any great mexi places in the Rose city. Some of the taquerias in NE are good but not 'great'. That mexi place next to tugboat made me illin'. Next time I just go for the sights and forego the food.

Reed is anything but cheap. When I went there (circa '92) it was about 20K a year. Grants paid for almost all of my tuition though. Very hard to get into Reed though.

If you spent much time in the mountains you might understand the "love to hate" relationship between independent climbers and the mounties and Mazamas. Do a search on here for tons of stories of gang-roping and gaping. I personally want nothing to do with either group but can appreciate why someone may wish to go to them for instruction, camaraderie etc. But then again, I am a sociopath. You coming to the kegger?

I have liberal tendencies. Expert marksman and former military light weapons specialist. If by "harass the military" you are referring to the passage in the above article which talks about "blockade the armed forces' joint headquarters at Northwood, in north London" then, in my not so humble opinion, the action is directed towards the right target--the decision-makers and not the soldiers. I've have a problem with harrassing soldiers for the same reasons you allude to, however I don't read anything like that in the article. RIF (reading is fundamental)
