  1. I have a bibler bombshelter for sale. Might be a bit much for your purposes but if you are interested PM me. I have an ad in the yard sale.
  2. Had sex with a famous rock stars wife; they got divorced shortly thereafter. Hung out with Penny Lane a couple of times. Drank beers with the former drummer for the Foo Fighters at the Monkey. Shook hands with Casper Weinberger. Rubbed one out by the terwilliger curves at Winter's request.
  3. I have a BDEL alpine shirt made of schoeller material. Had it about a year now and wear it daily whilst riding my bike to and fro work. Its washed once a week so taht makes a total of about 50 or so washings. Water still beads just fine on it and unless its a full-on rain I generally stay dry. I love schoeller for its stretchiness, durability and wind and water repellancy. Its not perfect but in my opinion its certainly better than wearing a gtx shell. I only throw my shell on now when its really windy and rainy.
  4. Moccasyms are sold.
  5. Upper gorge usually stays fry and yes the tuff gets friable when wet--more so than when dry.
  6. I'm having a hard time putting together Pope's assertion that bolts are cowardly and his admission that he bolted a route in Leavanworth. Are you a hypocrite or what?
  7. Michael Jackson may just be the embodiment of everything the muslim world finds evil in America.
  8. Done! Make sure you stop by my place first so you can rock out to the Counting Crows as you satiate your blood lust. What a perfect soundtrack.
  9. Good Lord, you are either very unlucky or live in a bad neighborhood. That's got to be pretty hard to take. Bike thieves, car thieves and horse thieves all should be treated the same. Hang 'em high. All three bikes were stolen from bike racks in downtown Portland. The Bontrager was stolen from a rack not 20 feet from where a security guard sat 24/7. His response "I'm not paid to watch your bike." Now I rent a bike locher. Out of sight, out of mind.
  10. 1-Gary Fisher tassajara 1-Bianchi road bike Stolen from me (in order): Diamondback Topanga POS Bontrager that I'd just shelled out 2K Gary Fisher hoo koo e koo
  11. Speaking from experience, if you don't use it you lose it. I can appreciate how someone who doesn't practice wilderness medicine (or any emergency medicine) would lose their skills in a years time. After I stopped working as an EMT my skills evaporated.
  12. C'mon--momma needs that operation!
  13. Newton Creek, Mt. Hood.
  14. Make me an offer.
  15. I'll be doing some climbing in the Slovak Tatras over Christmas.
  16. Tools are sold.
  17. I confirmed that the pack is indeed a large
  18. I'm 6'3" and it fits me comfortably. Thanks for your input.
  19. I'm not sure. Its a behemoth that I have used on two Alaska expeditions.
  20. Bibler Bombshelter. One of the best tents money can buy. Single wall construction, this bad boy lives up to its name. One tear in the floor was factory repaired and sealed. Same as image above except mine's a fresh, eco-friendly green color. Its yours for $500. Magellan 2000 XL GPS. Used but in great condition. $50 Used pair of Moccasyms. I think they are around a size 10. Real good rubber left on them. $30 Invernos, size ~11/11.5, used but the liners and the shells are in good condition. $200 and I'll throw in the custom purple lacing. Black Diamond Lobster Mitts. These may be the warmest damn gloves you ever wore. Like new. $40 Dana Arcflex Terraplane. This sucka will haul big loads in comfort and style. One small paint smear the size of a quarter on the lid, otherwise in pretty pristine condition. $200 Cassin Skywalkers. Two hammers with leashes. I've used these in the Cascades, Hyalite, Alaska etc. In great condition. Great beginner tools. $100 for the pair. Will consider trades in lieu of cash. Things I am willing to trade for are a pair of cobras; I-tent, Eldorado or similar 2-man single wall tent; tele skis; skins. I'm in Portland if you want to inspect items in person. PM me if interested.
  21. Watch the avy conditions!
  22. Familiar experience? Stay away from the pipe.
  23. I would think I-rock has ice on it now with all the freeze-thaw we've had. Tons of snowfall in the last couple days. Avy conditions may be an issue. Do a search to learn more about optimal conditions for the other routes. Wayne's posted plenty of helpful info.
  24. US Outdoor Store has the best selection with the Mountain Shop running in second. OMC has maybe 4 different boots to choose from as does Climb Max. No one in the Portland metro area has a 'great' selection.
  25. Absolutely not.
