  1. On a side note it would be interesting if hit or view counts were able to tell you if people watched the entire vid or not. Really nice camera work in my opinion.
  2. I would have to agree on all counts.
  3. Hanman speaks the truth regarding the raps down the Ho. I don't know why you would do the Blueberry route if you are a 5.10 slab climber. Although it is fun. Westward Ho route is way fun and you would be lined up for the raps. I would reccommend going farther than the 4 pitches and continue to the tree on the ridge. The view over the other side is sweet. If you can ball up more than I, which should not be too hard you can make the final 1/2 pitch to the top proper. Check out my signature link for some pics of the Westward Ho route.
  4. It doesn't clean well once it is sweaty and covered in sunscreen.
  5. If you wear cotton outside you will die! ::
  6. Trailer park boys is funny stuff. Very Oso or either end of the Loop for that matter. How was the eastside hanman?
  7. I prefer mountain runners or rabbit ear slings over the shoulder clipped with one biner and all sewn slings (as alpine draws) on harness. This avoids ever having to pull anything over your head or having to consider which side needs to be free to access the runners.
  8. It must be the moobs and the estrogen in the soymilk! I am not saying there are not frustrations and trying times, I just have never had the recreaction that Layback is attributing to all parents.
  9. dude, I don't think so. It is the toughest job I have ever loved and I can be an intolerant bastard son of a bitch. If anything those moments of frustration have brought out of me a sudden calm and patience I never knew I possessed.
  10. Redneck part of Washington? Man you ain't seen nothing. You should come spend the weekend with some of us up-river boys! Great video and good work gentlemen.
  11. I like to use a gear sling for multi pitch crag climbs. I prefer a padded sling because using an old runner hurts my neck with all the chaffing and such. On long alpine or multipitch climbs where I will be carrying my pack to bivy I prefer to use the bottom of the shoulder straps on my pack, especially when cleaning. That way I am not fighting the pack/over harness scenario. On sinlge pitch affairs I like to rack on my harness. I am also an advocate of racking my slings alpine draw style although many of my partners do not seem to get the funcionality of this. I actually use them when climbing sporto routes as well.
  12. That shoit is f-ing insane! Wow! Thanks for sharing Feck.
  13. Sold.
  14. Gene - that is why we have a studio/outbuilding. That is where I am relegated to most of the time anyhow!
  15. Sold
  16. Genes point is quite valid and I respect it. I still hold my opinion and can't excuse a preventable act such as that, mistake or not. I am not casting stones on the mans entire life. I agree also with DPS and would hope to not be judged solely by my mistakes. I will not however be carrying this mans banner as a hero.
  17. Really? That kind of action should negate any accomplishments.......I don't give a shit if a guy figured out how to get world peace any kind of action like shaking a baby and causing death is inexcusable. Out of respect for the dead I stop.........
  18. I have a photo of Stuart that I took this last weekend from Middle Eightmile. I will upload it when I get to my home computer. It may help.
  19. Dude Leavenworth is good to go! Especially the South facing slopes. As long as you do not mind ticks!
  20. Your Mom.
  21. Ah, then it seems I have been there before. I had never seen it from the angle shown in the new book. It looks alot more impressive in the photo. Glad I did not continue up with bivy gear as planned or my buddy and I would have been sorely dissapointed. I ended up hiking around to climbers left and up some gullys arond the toe of the upper crag and then up some steep gullys around the backside and up and right. Cool and interesting stuff back around those parts. Interesting to see the drainage that caused the slide and all the associated debris and scoured land up high.
  22. So true builder! So true.............
