Its funny, the conservative establishment can't seem to accept the fact that the vast majority of the electorate is pretty damn moderate. Could say the same thing about the Dem's too though.
Good advice. I know lots of folks, including myself, who have advanced degrees but work in trades or occupations that only require high school education.
If you're looking for work-life balance maybe consider the health care field. With a bs in chem you would have lots of prerequ's done for nursing or other specialty field.
You can do it yourself if you have a couple specific tools and are good with tools and measurements, etc. Otherwise its worth finding a shop.

Though, there's something to be said for going to school where you want to end up since you make connections, have internships, etc. there. But you have to be realistic that there's also jobs for people with a M.S. in chemistry there.
Since when has Bozeman become known for tree huggers? There's probably a hippy or two and a few trustafarians but its no Eugene.
How about Utah State or University of Wyoming? I think there's some good schools in Calgary - do they let Americans into college in Canada?
