yes, assumptions can lead one astray, and, being the sincere seeker of truth that you are, you would come to an understanding of the entire situation before jumping in and supporting one side or the other. it's the only way a just patriot can ever act, because once convictions based on truth and justice are lost, all is lost. True, but only one truth is necessary for the forced outing of a leader and that is the overstepping of his duties and rights as leader of a country. This has obviously happened here and revolution/ coup is the only cure. Your satire is not lost on me and I expect nothing less from a poster on this board. My ideals are simple, my mind is not. Our forefathers warned of the dangers of leaders overstepping their boundaries and gave us fairly explicit instructions how do deal with them. To judge others for dealing with their issues in the same manner prescribed to us by our founding fathers is worse than hypocrisy; it is revisionist.

i'm not sure, but if you are right, the articles of impeachment would seemingly come into play, yes? it seems that if indeed one is concerned about the unconstitutionality of the president's actions, one would support a constitutional approach to rectify the situation (since one exists; i think we can all agree that a military coup is decidedly unconstitutional, yes?). What, praytell are the articles of impeachment in Honduras? What does the Honduran constitution have to say about wanton disregard of the Hunduran constitution by the former president? Not knowing the particlulars of the Honduran constitution, I cannot assume whether this is constitutional or not. The legislature seemed to think it was. The only person that I KNOW broke the law was the former president for his disregard for the constitution of Honduras and the faith of his people.
-
maybe you can cite the relevant passage in the honduran constitution which specifically prohibits referendums? i tend to agree that constitutional changes through a referendum process is probably a bad idea, but your righteous vitriol indicates a level of expertise with the honduran constitution which certainly allows you to educate me. also, my limited understanding of the situation fosters a belief that the honduran constitution allows for the impeachment of the president; wouldn't you support the legal removal of a criminal president, versus the illegal removal of said president? I can only assume that referendums which nulify parts of said constitution are foreign to any constitution.

Didn't say nor imply it. Would you like to try again? Tyranny is the same where ever it manifests itself. It is a cancer which much be cut out by any means accessible including force. Hondurans utilized legal measures and when that failed used their rights as humans to fight oppression. I would do the same thing. If a president attempts to change the constitution and purges all of those that defy him in order to make himself a de-facto dictator, he must be culled. You had better be thankful that there are enough good people in this country that are willing to defend this country with their lives; whether the threat may be in the form of Islamic fundamentalists or it manifests itself in a constitution warping president. Luckily the Hondurans share your luck.

Plantar fasciitis with possible neuro complications. Rest, Ice and motrin and stretch out the calf muscle. If this fails to work, see a specialist for diagnosis/ orthotics. PF test: Does it hurt like a mother when you wake up in the AM? This is pretty much diagnostic in the vast majority of PF cases. PF can cause neuro symptoms as can most inflamatory disorders in tight/ complitated joint structures. Take away the problem and the symptoms should resolve.

If Bush would have done this, he would have been forced out of office or I would have died trying; as would others. I cannot accuse others for crimes that: 1) are declared legal by their legislature and 2) I would have "committed" myself in the same situation.

To pursue happiness is a right. Health care, on the other hand, is YOUR responsibility

You don't fucking say... Guess who said that.

Please explain. Did Bush enlist the JCS to campaign for a term limits extension, fire the Chairman, and then refuse to follow an act of congress codified by the Supreme Court? Very weak line you took there, Bos. Exactly; try that in this country and I will personally put a bullet in your head.

...as is evidenced by the government in power which is now trying to ban pocket knives.

here Lemme think... Why would a politician decry a coup? Ah, I know! perhaps he/she is worried about the modern precedent being set; especially while fucking with the constitution that many well armed citizens believe in. No, that is too simple.
-
1) I suppose our founding fathers are jack-boot thugs? "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." -TJ- Why do you think that the legislature ratified the coup? 2) The entire world being Chavez, Castro, Clinton and Obama? I see they are all in good company. I see that this board is still using its ideologic catch phrases and responding so well to the trolls as it was when I left. Carry on.

You hide the largest tax increase in US history in 1200 pages of over-indulgent. pseudo-environmentalist dogma and the people of the US and their representatives in congress will swallow the pill like its a cure for cancer. Congrats Obama. Touche!

I just use my veggie garden as a means to attract and shoot my favorite game animals which happen to love em. Its nice to be able to sit on the porch and drink a beer while harvesting free range goodness.

I agree. But why stop there. All of the people who think waterboarding is ok need to submit to a round of it...... Check.

That is true as hell in North Carolina. When you see signs for the trail and no tresspassing on the same tree, listen to the latter not the former. -

It was in the 70's in the AM and spiked into the 90's when the T-storms hit. Definitely an AM spot this time of the year. Only problem is that the road doesn't open until 8:00AM. -

Did he have a mullet? no clue - i've found when people are waving pistols around at me, i don't tend to look at their hairdos much If it happens enough to you, the opposite happens. You can remember every detail about the guy. -

Trip: Pilot Mountain - Have no Idea Date: 5/9/2009 Trip Report: After the altercation with the hillbilly, we descended the 400 meter gully to the base of the crags. Once there, we found a "mountaineering group" that would make the mountaineers look like the most burly alpine climber. It was ridiculous. We geared up and climbed some OW and a guy comes over and yells up to me that I "forgot to put your rope through the top first!" Holy shit. The climbing was fun; the company - not so much. Met a nice French couple at the crag and they watched me take a pretty nice little 25 footer and since the afternoon thunderstorms were rolling in, we decided to retire to the scottish pub and get fat and drunk. Not a destination crag but if you are ever in the area, definitely a place worth considering. (About 2 hours from Raleigh/Durham). Gear Notes: None of the routes are trad but there are some really stellar trad routes that had likely never (or rarely) been done before. Bring A full rack with some large stuff because there is some really fun OW climbing. Twins are great because there are many meandering routes. Approach Notes: Watch out for crazy Hillbillies. We passed one going literally 2 miles an hour and he met us as we were gearing up with his two daughters (4-6 y.o). He decided that he wanted to fight me. He ran when I pulled out my cell phone and pretended it was a tazer and told him I was gonna BBQ his nuts. Other than that, it was just a 400 meter gully decent 200 meters South of the parking lot.
