well thats just the medium long run day. the long run days are sunday, which is 16 miles. the whole 70 miles per week in 6 days is quite taxing.

Not looking out for the athletes at all. jmace: look for the video on espn's website. they interviewed athletes who competed over there, all of them mention how sick they felt due to the pollution. in a triathlon only like 8/50 people (worldclass field) finished. they discuss the pollution in great deal in regards to numbers and standards. here is the video embedded in the article. i recommend watching it.

its disgusting. between the censorship, spying at hotels and the lying about pollution...this is going to be a very poor olympics, especially in regards to performances at more endurance related events.

I wish there was a facility like this in ellensburg/nearby. It seems like with all the climbers in central washington a decent group could be formed. Ever since I've "retired" from competitive running I've been yearning to get back into some sort of structure routine.

I ran/walked the loop, then biked from stuart lake TH to snow creek TH in about 5 or 6 hours last august. that was with a stop for lunch and jump into a creek by 8 mile TH to cool off.

Yeah I was interested in doing some climbs up in that area but didn't want to deal with the permits. Too much hassle and money I could use elsewhere.

So I've heard if you send certain pieces of gear to BD with only a return address they will fix it and return it for free (ie re-slinging cams and such)...any idea about a tear in a firstlight tent? Long story short...I set it up to dry after a weekend trip, I came back and it was moved like ten feet and on its side ( I think my landlord's dog got into it.) So now there is an 8 inch tear that runs parallel with one of the poles. Any other recommendations on how to fix it? Duct tape?
