I have the reactors and have thoroughly enjoyed them. I've climbed everything to wi2 to wi5 with them, but haven't experienced them on mixed, however the person I bought them from was climbing m8 with them, so I'd imagine they are quite solid on that as well.

Trip: Dragontail - Serptine Arete Date: 9/9/2008 Trip Report: Two weeks ago David and I had planned a great two day trip which would consist of the west ridge of prusik the first day and dragontail the second day. Well with the combination of bad weather, me forgetting my rock climbing shoes and all around laziness we only did prusik. So this time we returned with a vengence! And better weather! After a day of climbing down in the icicle we found ourselves up entirely too early at colchuck lake. We arrived at the base of the route only to find we were not the only ones up this early. Infact, some other person had decided to try and ascend colchuck glacier - with one ice axe, on a completely exposed glacier ice. Needless to say it was enertaining to watch. Shortly after we decided to start climbing. The first true/roped pitch on the way up to the big ledge on the black tower (David leading): I was lucky enough to lead the next pitch. All I have to say is, great stuff! Up, up... And away! Me looking down at David on the next pitch. After that we just used 30m of the rope and started simul climbing. At first the climb was easy yet enjoyable, kind of similar to the north ridge of forbidden, however this quickly changed. Nevertheless, the views were still great. Closin' in on the summit... Finally we made it Time to celebrate! I'm trying to get sponsored by rainier... All in all, great day in the mountains. The first half of the route was lots of fun climbing, while the second half, as advertised, leaves much to be desired. Much thanks to David for being a great climbing partner yet again. SOBO: Hopefully these pictures will actually work! The endless summer continues... Gear Notes: Approach Notes: The usual, but just a note on the descent...the snow coming of dragontail was pretty much a complete sheet of ice.

I like sun: Sounds a lot like what a past friend/physical therapist told me. I have had my feet looked at and have no supination or pronation. And I have had my gait analyzed, the only "deformity" was that my hip dropped at certain points in my stride. Which of course, are due to muscle imbalances, and as you said, when the muscles get fatigued my biomechanics go to shit. However, after taking seven months off from running, I returned to running maybe 3-5 days a week between 20-60 minutes, way less than my normal 50-60 mpw, and the pain returned within one or two weeks...Which is when I went a saw another doctor and ruled everything out and agreed, my tibial tuberosity is def. inflammed, but what exactly is causing it...he was unsure. And said the usual, well do your PT exercises and don't run as much. I've since stopped running for my college and only run 2-4 days a week when I feel like it and when there is no pain. The pain can return during periods of long walking downhill (ie descending from a mtn climb), but not always.

[TR] Witch's Tower - Enchantment Lakes - Parade Route - Day Hike 8/26/2008
kevino replied to zoroastr's topic in Alpine Lakes
whats wrong with the trail up from colchuck? I made it up from the stuart lk TH to the summit of little annapurna in 3:45 hours and from there it really is all down hill. And after doing it both ways, I would say going in from stuart lk TH is better. -
so thats what happened to me! So since you guys know knees soooooooo well please tell me why my tibial tuberosity is inflammed? No its not osgood schlaughters. No its not patella tendonitis. And yes I have good cartidlidge and no bone fx or weaknesses. PT exercises only do good for about 4-6 months before the injury comes back and yes, I continued doing them.

If this weekend doesn't work out for you, I'd be interested in next weekend. Just throwing it out there.

that thing climbs slower than my ex-girlfriend and it doesn't give you any action.

Just curious. I don't really remember having any good/if any at all speakers like that in HS. However in college some of the memorable classes are when you have speakers come to your class and talk about their first hand experiences with you. Good for you.
