  1. Just moved to wenatchee...where do you locals go for trail runs around here? My roommate told me about a few spots but they all seem to come with the warning of don't run here during the winter or when its muddy. Working at the hospital and live in East wenatchee if that helps with suggestions. Willing to drive on off days. THANKS.
  2. Any missoula area people want to ski tour saturday? thinking mellow trees around lolo pass
  3. Some more stuff sold. Make offers people! How about the remaining climbing gear for $50?
  4. screw and rab gloves sold
  5. Pictures and such can be seen here: pictures and more details
  6. Thinning out a bunch of stuff before my next move. Prices do not include shipping, usually it can be done for something reasonable $5-10, unless it is a larger item. I'm in the Flathead valley for two more weeks, then Missoula, then Spokane, then Wenatchee for any local buyers. Happy to combine shipping or consider offers, etc. I'll get pictures up in the coming days. 1. Dynafit Vulcan boots. Size 28. About 40+ days of touring. One punch to left boot for my unique navicular bone. Lines have been molded once. Currently I have booster straps on them, and the original power straps should be returned to me by the end of this week. Thinking $400. 2. Flylow Magnum BC pant. Size L. Color Navy. About 1.5 seasons on them. Washed with nikwax last month. No defects, a few of the taped seams around the boot area have some wear, but nothing major pealing off, or losing their integrity. $80? 4. Black diamond renegade glove. Size medium. 1 season of regular use, then sparingly. No defects, but the thumb/nose wipe has seen better days. One of the plastic caps for the bungee is missing, so I tied a knot in the end. $15. 5. 2x Black diamond quickdraws. They have been racked but I don't think ever placed. $20. 7. 3x CAMP nano biner + 1x wild gate wire biner. $10 8. 1x mammut "screamer"/shocker absorber + 2x omega pacific wire gate biner. $35 9. Vaude 40+10L pack. Has crampon pocket, ice tool slots, etc. Used only on a couple trips. No defects. $80 10. North Face synthetic button up shirt. Color Red. Size Medium. $10 11. North face vapor wick medium weight pull on half zip. Black. Size XL but fits smaller. $10. 12. REI medium weight polar tec pull on half zip. Blue. Size medium. $20. 14. REI light weight synthetic t shirt. Grey. Size Large. $10.
  7. I think there is more ice on the trails than on the mountains. Nice job on the climb. After trying to ski up there on the 26th, I saw how perfect these conditions would be for winter rock ascents. Who is going to repeat the CNR on Stuart?
  8. Super warm and raining up there yesterday. Lots of stuff falling down.
  9. thats hubba hubba, by the way
  10. Taken 12/26, although probably not really applicable given the recent warm weather and rain.
  11. Looked like dry snow over rock. If this helps at all:
  12. Dave, you ski the east ridge?
  13. To those wondering: You can walk from Icicle creek road to colchuck lake in tennis shoes. No more 1" of snow on the trail. Lots of ice to slip on. Aasgard pass and colchuck glacier look like october with a fresh dusting. Travel is fast right now, took us under three hours to go from the rd to colchuck lake. All in all, a nice 14 mile hike with skis on my back!
  14. Sounds like a bad batch of glue. I purchased the high traction skin in july, have about 15 days on them over 5 months and no issues. I only use skin savers between days of skiing, but when I'm out touring I do the glue on glue as well. Talk to the local shop if you're not hearing back from g3?
  15. Copy that. So is the road skinable? Trying to talk myself into bad decisions when I'm back next week.
  16. Road still open?
  17. Yo 'hound, A couple winters ago I did the early season approaches to strobach, most recently in 2011. that year had a couple bigger early season storms then some mild temps. here is what it looked like: https://picasaweb.google.com/norditalia3/Strobach

  19. Trip: Thanksgiving in the Park - Date: 11/29/2013 Trip Report: I have been somewhat fixated on doing alpine ice routes in the Glacier National Park since I received by clinical rotation placement in Kalispell. I got a little taste of early season ice action back in October, however school and big snow dump have kept me busy through much of november. Thankfully things started to align for some climbing this past week. David drove out from WA and it was game on. We got in two days of climbing (~2500 ft of ice) and one day of taking the ice tools for a walk. Quick picture summary below: Always fun approach shenanigans and occasional deep snow: Which lead to great views: And good climbing: And stimulating descents Couple more climbing shots: Gear Notes: Me doing my best Ben Stiller impression: "Bring me something a little deeper" Also, NWALPINE, if you need a new picture to advertise your spider light hoody....

  21. "Quit posturing at the weekly parties. Your high pulse rate, your 5.12s and quick time on the Slickrock Trail don't mean shit to anybody else. These numbers are the measuring sticks of your own progress; show, don't tell. Don't react to the itch with a scratch. Instead, learn it. Honor the necessity of both the itch and the scratch." -Twight
  22. Yeah Ranger Creek has a lot of hang fire above the climbs and with the storm that rolled in starting yesterday I wouldn't want to be out!
  23. Keep training...picture taken friday
