McCain's probably a great guy to socialize with, but I don't trust him any further than I can throw him. Then again, maybe I just need to work out more.

Frozen squid tubes are $2.99/lb at the new Asian market where Larry's used to be, next to the Oaktree Cinema.

I have indeed served as a squad leader during a 21 gun salute. I've sat in a bunker and seen people get shot in my platoon. What have you ever done for your country? Protest the war and incite criticism or oppose it in such a way to undermine soldiers? I won't bother responding to the other ludicrous assinine assumptions which you have made. You can try to pick apart the article and numbers to favor your argument all you want. Interesting facts nonetheless.. Don't be upset because I send them your way for consumption. You also failed to point out, in your signature fashion, that military deaths (and death rates) under HW Bush were 50% higher than during the Clinton years you cited, and under Reagan for a similar period were more than double. This is, of course, making the huge assumption that your original post had any point whatsoever to make. As for your frequent need to brag to the rest of us; save it. A lot of us have served in the military here. BFD. And as for the right to protest; it is guaranteed under the first amendment for every person on our soil. It is not 'earned', by military service or anything else. We are born with it. That's the central idea of what our nation is all about. I'm surprised that someone such as yourself who has sworn to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States doesn't have a clear grasp of what, exactly, they've fought for.

Unless you can help me get my hands on an AK AK gun, STFU.

Uh, maybe this is a dumb question, but if the British pulled off this kind of 'success' with 1,600 troops in a major city like Basra, why haven't we been able to duplicate this success with 130,000?

I believe Tvash actually meant an ack ack gun, not an AK47. You know, like this: Yes, although I prefer the four barrel version.

The 3,133 includes only US military casualties that occur within Iraq's borders. The wounded that later die after they are evacuated from Iraq for treatment are not included in this tally. Creative accounting at it's best. Sheep Strut, using his own brand of creative accounting we've all come to know and love, also did not include military personnel that have died outside of Iraq (in Afghanistan, in training, etc) from 2003 to the present. His message in posting this, if there in fact is one, seems to be this: 3,133 soldiers? Not a very big number, really. What's the big deal? Perhaps he should take the issue up with the families of the dead.

Stevens Pass: The Rollover I yo yo'd the Rollover on the other side of Hwy 2 from Stevens Pass Ski area today. A foot of fresh, untracked powder that got better as the sun got lower. Superb.

Certainly. By way of example, let's say the market price of a draught beer is $4.50. The state then mandates that the price be capped at $2.00. Within an hour, hordes of thirst-crazed Irishmen descend from every corner of the planet upon drinking establishments nationwide like yellow jackets on the ass end of a dead possum. The first to go is the glassware, which, within the first 15 minutes, transforms the floor of every bar in the country to a crunching, glistening wrecking yard mulch. Next, the waitresses are dragged off, where they are cornered and regaled with tearful tales of personal loss, opportunity lost, and the salvation that awaits Madonna de jeur should she deign to accompany poor Paddy back to his flat. Finally, as the beer supply runs out (T plus 20), the taps themselves are torn from the walls as patrons intibate themselves with the keg hoses like starving Comanches devouring the steaming intestines of their first spring kill. Needless to say, such an event can only increase the cost of insurance, beer service equipment, glassware, floor refinishing services, security personnel, wait staff, encarceration, and rehab. Completely inflationary. Hope this helps.

I want an AK AK gun. I've always wanted to shoot down a strafing fighterplane. And a buffalo from a galloping appaloosa with a Winchester 30 30. And sink a submarine with a depth charge. Those are my three wishes. That is all.

I'll have the Mecca burka, hold the martyr sauce, and a sheik.

Recommended serving size for meat per meal is 3 oz, or about the size of a deck of playing cards. I strictly adhere to this...six times a day.

The enlightened ones and the successful debaters amongst us will no doubt be consider this due to some behind the scenes sabotage by the imperialist US..... One wonders how many epi-cycles they will devise before they understand the obvious. Your posts might generate more traffic if the opposing point of view you frequently try to bait actually existed on this forum. Price controls lead to inflation? Revolutionary! Yaaawwwwwnnnnnnnn.

While my chain saw's still running, Stout Penis Sheath also indirectly cited a statistic in a previous post regarding how "illegal" drivers (those without valid licenses), not surprisingly, involved in many more fatal accidents than legal drivers. If only he hadn't slyly conflated "illegal" with "illegal alien", he would have been right on the money. Close, but no cigar!

Trashman, tell these victims about your numbers game. I'm sure they really care. After that chain saw raping I just gave you, try telling those on this forum that your latest fantasy statistic has anything to do with the 'real world'.

Canada's not part of the real world? Cooooool....

Yes, one article from you and I'm convinced. After your last attempt at irrefutability, who wouldn't be?
