My trucks paid fer. I wun my belt buckle in da roe-day-oh. And, I wus really jus tryn to get dat sheep over da fence!
  3. Yes Bill, very funny!
  4. Bump... Lowered some prices and added a link with more pics of the cams.
  5. That was a really nice lead Nate. A few more laps and it would be lichen free and even more fun. Although the lower section is a bit out of my league, the upper half was awesome. I took a few pics with my crackberry, sorry the quality is so poor...
  6. oh, i can assure you, there was no tent Damn't Ivan, now I got coffee all over my desk (after coming out my nose laughing)!
  7. Seems I remember reading a TR from gal of an epic one shoe descent a while back, not sure if it was on Black Orpheus though.
  8. Only about 5 min from home for me, na nan a na na na.
  9. Last time I did Bluebird, my ass was so pumped I felt like I was back in San Quenten! Wasn't that with you Ivan (BB, not San Quentin)?
  10. No, it's MUCH WORSE than it looks. Ozone, however, is world class, so go there instead. Don't waste your time with pile of rubble like Beacon, trust me!

    For Pink

I did not know there was such a thing.
  12. Is that R-Dawg at the sport crags?
  13. Very tue... I'm hoping to find a pair that can fit my custom orthodics.
  14. Yeah, I was hoping to check out 2nd ascent this weekend when I head to Seattle. It's all about the fit, that's for sure.
  15. Yes, I will need to try these on. I see they are on sale for $231 at BC.com. Thanks!
  16. Absolutely! I have had good luck with Asolo hiking boots, as far as really good fit. Any word on their mountaineering boots?
  17. So it's time to step up and get a new pair of all around mountaineering boots. I don't need anything for specialized climbing as I don't do much (or any) ice or don't plan on any major expeditions. I just need some comfortable, crampon compatible boots for stuff like Mt Hood and the like. Since they are pretty spendy, I was hoping for some advice. BTW, I have wide feet. I love LaSportiva for rock shoes but I hear their boots don't fit wide feet well, is this true? Thanks!
  18. My wife drys a lot of fruit in our green house... Just cover them with screens so the bugs don't get at the food.
  19. Or, dry the stuff in your oven on a baking sheet on low heat. Just a thought. Let me know what you get and how you like it as we need one too.
  20. Wow! You can really see how steep it is in the video.
  21. Time to clean out the gear closet and get rid of the duplicates and vintage gear. Prefer cash deals in person so you can inspect the gear. However, I am trying to be complete in disclosing exactly what condition the items are in though. I can also send more pics on request. I am located in the Columbia River Gorge, right by Beacon Rock. I can meet in Portland, OR and/or Vancouver, WA. I may be in Seattle over Labor Day weekend as well. Buyer to pay all shipping and I do take PayPal if meeting in person in not feasible. If interested send PM or call Dave at three, six, zero 910 zero, six, zero, two. First up, we have a set of 9 Wild Country Technical Friends (Red with colored sewn slings sizes 0.0 - 4). $250 FIRM! I bought these new, with tags on in 2006, but have rarely used them as they are my triple (or quad) set. Most have been drug around in the pack, a few have been placed, but I only recall 1 short fall on one of the smaller ones (size #1 I think). All in fine working order. Link to more cam pics Next is a random Metolius #5 cam with a black sling that came with a bunch of other cams I bought. Don't know the full history on this but it appears to be in great shape and fully serviceable, $30. Trigger action is smooth as butter. I just have too many cams in this size range. Now we move on to my vintage (1998 ish) The North Face Expedition VE-25 Guide tent. Although this baby has been well loved, it still has plenty of life left in it. Comes "pre-broken" in with "custom fitted" (some slightly curved poles and some sections have been replaced), a few small field repairs including the zipper on the main door (The zipper got chewed up so it now has a stop there and a third pull so you can't open that zipper all the way - see pics.) This tent has seen many o stormy days in the Alaska Range but has been sitting in storage for the past 10 years (in the gear closet, in a plastic bin). Comes with fitted footprint ground cloth that has one very small 1/2" tear. Sorry, I can't seem to find the tent stakes $200 FIRM - if I can't get that, I don't want to sell it. Next on the docket is an older MSR XGK stove. This was my back up stove on longer trips. It has been in storage for 10 years but fired right up on the first try (see flames in the pics). Pump is included but no fuel bottle - $30. Next up - 1998ish Scarpa double plastic mountaineering boots, size 11 (I think +/- a half size if not). Used for a few trips in the Alaska Range but plenty of life in the liners, exterior in great shape, too $50 Solomon Super Mt 8 boots size 11.5 (US). I were a size 10.5 street shoe and these are a bit snug on me. Used a few times but still in great shape. Takes step in crampons. They originally had a gimicky inner foot lacing system that I had to cut out as they hurt like hell with it, otherwise, in great shape $50. SOLDLike new - worn 1 time Evolv approach shoes, size 10.5 (US). I just never wear them, $30. Last, but certainly least, an old school (circa 1995) Thermarest Thermalounger. Fits full size Thermarest pad (long? aprox. 2' wide x 6' long, pad NOT included). Super comfy and makes a bomber cover for your pad, but a bit heavy compared to the new ones. Great for car camping. Some of the stitching/fabric where the stays end is worn out (which is actually nice if you want to remover the stays, the older ones like this you could not remove them otherwise - see pics). $20
  22. Or, just give it to Ivan, that crazy bastard will use it for a few more decades!
  23. I asked a buddy of mine who live is Tokyo what the strangest thing he had ever eaten over there and his reply was raw horse penis.
