  1. tempting....still trying to decide between single wall and the Nallo 2.....
  2. I'm confused...are you looking for climbers, or athletes?
  3. why don't you use all that emotional energy for something constructive? Drinking beer for instance
  4. Thinking about a hookey day in the next couple weeks, and wanting sharpen the skilz after a long climbing reprieve. From what I've heard/read, PG looks like a good place to get in a lot of mods without a lot of travel. Thinking (hoping) I'm good for 5.8, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to be too chicken to lead the 5.9s, but curious if there are some that can be toproped? Also are the ratings pretty accurate?
  5. I don't disagree. What I will say is it's my belief that if you've got what it takes to be a golden engineer you can be succesful quite a few places - all of them with better pay, better flexibility, better advancement or better benefits (in or out of work) than engineering. Absolutely agree....and exactly why I left engineering for my Finance MBA. I'm working ~ the same or less and making more than 2X what I was as an engineer.
  6. what's the doc say, or does he/she not know enough about climbing mechanics to give an opinion. They are the person with the most knowledge of the extent of your injury.
  7. Jared...Colchuck is a great scramble, but I think the "glacier" is solid ice right now. There is also scramble route on Dragontail, and although I've only ever done it early season, I think you can avoid snow with a little extra walking....If not I think you could manage with Aluminum crampons.
  8. notice the lack of gender stipulation
  9. Jared....I think the approach is ~ 10 miles and ~ 6,000 VF coming up snow lake with the last little bit of it scrambly. We did it in a day last year, and were surprisingly spanked considering it's a pretty nice trail almost the whole way. We timed it so daylight was just breaking as we passed snow lake as the trail is very easy to follow by headlamp.
  10. I did this with my wife a couple summers ago and you are right about that gully....I took a couple spills in there as well and had to veggie arrest to avoid injury - I was freaked out about my wife getting hurt.
  11. My experience with Patagonia....I've waited for sales and gotten the stuff on a really good sale, and the quality is outstanding. Very unlike the Northface sorority girl raincoat of the early 90s.
  12. Get some work experience, and then go get your MBA.....this is a great combo that many companies recruit, and the pay can be much better!
  13. why don't you use all that emotional energy for something constructive? I think you are reading into something that is not there. This is a serious question. I recently climbed there on my lunch hour……I thought (for what is was) it was kind of a neat place to have in your back yard. But they did bolt some obvious cracks……just trying to find out the history…..thanks….. Kevin relieving work stress by being an anonymous jack-ass...don't mind me

Adam13....feels kind of like the guys that have thus far failed to answer a very simple question. Rather fill 2 pages launching personal attacks and making toilet stall jokes (ha ha ha, LOL, ROFL) about the guys who are pushing them (the nutjobs) to provide some sort of support for their statements. Also...it wasn't spelling but grammar (insert college athlete joke here). If you guys are going to make inferences about Bush's intellect based on what he says, only seems fair that we show you the same courtesy.

FW...three pages of namecalling, and still no answer to your question....talk about a smokescreen

are you referring to the six abortion center incidents in the past ~ 10 years, or McVeigh....the confessed AGNOSTIC ericb writes, "the confessed agnostic," as though being an agnostic were a crime, the crime. Interesting. not so much....some lefties point to his Roman Catholic upbringing and thus deem his acts those of a Christian terrorist. His own statements counteract this supposition I've never once read or heard of McVeigh ever being associated with Christianity. I'd make an educated guess that you just made that up off the top of your head, you know, like you do the rest of your arguments. You've apparently got the Militia Movement mixed up with the Army of God. That's OK though, no clarity of thought is expected, so none is missed. so which bombings was MattP referring to?
