Risking their ass? It is more like work than Omaha Beach. And as far as $$$$$$$$$, then are we going to compare dick size and only allow those who have donated to the Index Fund to climb there, and give a free pass to the larger contributes so they do not have to wait in line on popular routes?
-
And the masses have no say or control in how these selfless elite alter a public resource?
-
You're joking, right?

Nice job editing your previous post Richard, so Bug's rejoiner to you loses it context. Your actions were and are very disingenous For the record

Things could be looking up for some Mariners

No it's not. Full TR I got in my truck, and stopped by Best Friends Espresso. Went up through Lake Forest Park, and down into Richmond Beach. I stopped at Tweedy and Pops, and got parts for John's crutches. Went in to visit John, and said hi to Frank. The bolts I bough were too short, so John and I went back to Tweedy and Pops. While we were gone, Frank dug out his old photographs, and showed them to John and I. I told him he should post them on ST. Maybe John can get some of his old Cascade photographs of climbing with Joe Firey posted here

Just got done looking at a bunch of Frank Tarvers photographs of the second ascent of Lost Arrow Chimney, done by himself, Bob Swift and Warren Harding in 1953. Frank says it took them four days. Their pin rack only went to 3/4". The coolest photographs were Warrens Jag.

No insult, I was just opining that the girls in your 11th grade remedial English class must think you're all that.
-
I'm not trying to be a hard man here, if you noticed, you're the one bragging about how you climbed the south face in 10 minutes. I'm sure all the little chickas in your grade 11 english class are impressed.

Are you suggesting we steal their car, and get it stuck in the snow? -

I would think that if the OP was smart enough to operate a business, he could probably get his own lawyer just fine. He probably does not need the services of a SLC based internet advice columnist suggesting that he get in touch with a Seattle based family law attorney. My car broke down in Duvall, do you know of a tire shop in San Diego? -
That cam in the bottm photograph is probably circa 1982 to 1986. Prior to winter 81/82, the nuts did not have washers. You could date the cam above it by the diameter of the trigger bar
-
All Friends came without slings prior to about 1986. In August 1980, the trigger was changed from 0.18" to 0.235"
-
Not necessarily. I have a first shipment number 4 Friend. It was made in England by Wild Country. It has no marking what so ever

Shouldn't it be $100? I asked the question in my initial post, yet you took two posts to come up with a responce. If you had been on the ball, your chargeable time would have been 50% of what they now are.

Wouldn't the "respondant" be the individual having the antiharrasment orders served against them?
-
Can you explain this? This person was named as a respondant. Is he the one who is being ordered by the state, or is his girlfriend? So my poor sister is taking her dog for a walk this morning, and they get jumped by a ferocious pit bull. My sister got bit, but fortunately had gloves on and did not get the skin broken. Her dog got two bites and broke a nail. I guess it could have been worse, her dog is an Anatolian Shepherd, and beat the shit out of the pit in about ten seconds. It was on its back with my sisters dog's mouth around its neck when my sister pulled it off. This went on three times, every time my sister saved the life of the pit, it would start the fight all over again. The neighborhood they live in has a number of nice little dogs and nice little old ladies. What if the pit had decided to attack one of them, instead of an Anatolian wolf killing machine?

Been around a little bit, and I'm just saying, winter really doesn't work too good for crevasse rescue practice. You'll be wallowing around on snowshoes, the crevasses will be covered, or have large overhangs of soft snow. Getting good anchors is more difficult than in spring or summer. Generally, it may be wiser to wait for the snow pack to undergo some degree of transformation to firn

I saw Fred last fall on his way to the Black Pyramid. I was at CWU then too. Ever run into Tom Ring, Jack Powell, Barry, Gene, John Tarver, Doug Klewin, Frank Florence, or Matt Christianson? Or me?
