Kurt was clearly the best I have seen him in a long time. He was lucid and humerous, and was in a good mood. he is understanding why he is where he is, and that people are helping him. I am very encouraged for his recovery.

Kurt is getting better. When JZ told Kurt that JZ and I were going thru his office to find things, he told JZ he "was going to fuck him over". Just like the old days. In all seriousness, he looked so much better today than any day yet. It was a relief. He still has a long ways to go. He must have suffered a sever concussion. He must also be drugged up for pain. His shoulder is turning a very bruised color, and he has eight broken ribs. But he like to do this

His folks left me a message while I was asleep. Kurt is doing better. His sleep is less fitfull, his color is better, his speech is clearer, and he recognizes more people. They are heartened. I would like to thank those individuals who are helping us to help Kurt, and those people who have much more patience than myself, JZ, Rolf, and Mellonhead, and are able to be with Kurt while he sleeps for hours. You are an huge help to Kurt, and to his parents.

My father is investigating setting p a trust account at a local bank. After talking to his folks, we are inclined to go in this direction rather than a pay-pal account. That being said, if people want to create a pay-pal account to facilitate the eventual transfer of funds to a bank, please feel free.

That is true. But people still need to be aware of the needs of his family, who are still concerned about over stimulation. If he is seemingly aggitated, please take a step back. Jack Carlson is there alot, and is an excellent guide to "Kurt protocol". His parents are there everyday from 8:00am to 3pm, and again from 8pm to `11pm. Their names are Frank and Margeret.

Sadly he is not "up and around". He is still only semi-conscious. He is being fed thru a feeding tube, but is off the resperator. But he is improving markedly every day.

Kellie just left me a message that he was doing very well when she, and the Hortons were there. When I was there with Oly and Jeff Hansel, they had just inserted a feeding tube, and he was a little drugged up. All in all, thing seem upbeat. But he still has a huge way to go. thank you everybody.

Well, myself an his other good friends John Zehran, Kellie, and arborists Mickey, Roger, Gator, and Jack spent a good amount of time with him yesterday. He is improving, but his injuries should be clearly viewed as serious. His parents are holding up well. Right now, visitors are important, but to a clearly defined limit. He is in burn ICU (only because of space requirements), and they enforce a limit. His parents have asked that I or John Zehran be their interface on this subject. If you feel that it is appropriate for you to visit, please call me. If you do not have my cell, please PM Oly, Off, Michele, or Tanstaafl. But in all honesty, I feel that I have already contacted those people whose visitation is appropriate. But I could have made a mistake. JZ has suggested that some frozen cassaroles for his folks would be a good idea. I agree. Please PM me, Oly, Off, or tanstaafl, and I will see that they are picked up. We could also use someone who could help Kurt's mother and I hack into his home PC. His bills etc are on his PC, and I turned it off, and now because it is password protected, we can't turn it back on. If anyone else has any good ideas of ways to help, please offer them up. Also, his helper Alex could use some work in the future. By his handling of the initial emergency, I can vouch that Alex is a good man.

I do not agree that snakes are getting "bad" there. In the early to mid-eighties, when climbers were few, snakes were many. Then there was a phase when I never saw a snake, which I attributed to the greatly increased climber population. An interesting thought
