ABC News just showed it about 10 minutes ago. I agree, I wish I could un-see that. Ugh!

Yes, but what is the question? Non-snowboarder Sorry bud, this may be your only alternative...

I don't think they even stock the forms in the boxes in the winter time. I have never seen them there unless it's the middle of summer.

It's pretty easy. Here is a pretty straight forward description of how to get to the trail. Also, if you want to remain legal, one or two day sno-park permits are sold at most of the convenience stores as well as some of the ski rental shops along the way up the mountain. But, Like Ivan said, I don't think the enforcement is a strict at the Tilly Jane trail head as it is at some of the other sno-parks.

This topic is in SPRAY, And was started in SPRAY...

I agree! It'll keep all the Vantuckians in Vantucky.

Oregon High by Jeff Thomas. But it is out of print, so you have to hunt down a used copy. Ignore the jackass trying to sell a copy for $151.00

You know, they have a lost and found inside the ski lodge... It's probably a skier that lost those, being that it is a ski area.

If you look at the second picture I posted, you can see that I was stopped for a equipment malfunction above the palmer lift. You can clearly see the lift towers down there. That's the south side route.

I like how the second to last guy gets beat up by the cops.

There are times that I ascend the mountains with a snowboard that is capable of becoming skis.

My real name is some über Scandinavian name that none of you native English speakers could ever possibly try to pronounce anyways, so I just use a nickname related to delicious Danish food.

Trip Report - Rooster Rock Attempt 8-25-09
Frikadeller replied to Corduroy Man's topic in Columbia River Gorge
You're just gonna have to buy the guide book to find out how to get to the rock. As how to post a trip report with the snazzy format, you click "new trip report" rather than the "new topic" button. -

Hey Water, I have two hammers, if you get two adze ones, I would trade you one of my hammers for one of your adze. I bought mine off some guy on Craigslist, and they where both hammers, They are in good shape (Looks like they where used maybe once, and the picks have never been sharpened). I would trade you either one (which ever looks newer, etc.) if you liked. Lemme know.

Way to add to the incomprehensible part....

Those "big picture" posts do not make it much fun for us casual readers of "spray".... MMMMkay. thanks.

Bombs away!!! Also: That might mean that you have to pay full retail at Wal-Mart in the future. 8D

You know what I really hate? Totally incomplete rants on CC.Com... Way to rock that shit.

I have never "Ice climbed" in my tele boots, but I have climbed the old PG/Hogsback route (Before the Hogsback shift) in them, and well.... With a stiff crampon I suppose it would work ok. But why beat around the bush here, just get an AT set up, and you can ice climb just fine in AT boots. Or Better yet, a Splitboard with Mtn Plates and AT boots... (Oh I almost forgot, a splitboard is not a serious mountain tool, according to some super enlightened folks around this website. )

Oh I see. We call it "break spot #3." Spot #1, Silcox hut Spot #2, Top of palmer lift. Spot #4, Hogsback Spot #5, Summit. At least that's how I like to break down the slog up the SS. Usually a good place to stop and smoke a camel, drink some water, and down a cliff bar or such.

I was about to ask the exact same thing. From his pictures, it looks like the flats around the top of Triangle moraine.
