  1. Very nice, very detailed TR David! Way to ditch work and go have some fun!!!
  2. So jealous, I wish I could bring my best friend to work...
  3. Wow, when I was on chemo I couldn't even climb the stairs. Congrats to her and good luck.
  4. I think that Trout is unique, and the fact that it isn't widely broadcast with baby step-by-baby step directions is a large part of what makes it that way. I'm not understanding the supposed offense of describing the routes online but not listing directions. We're not exactly talking about a Falcon guide here. I think Trout is a special case, and I don't see any harm in trying to keep it that way. If you want to climb there, put your boots on, your rack on your back and hike around for a bit like everyone else did, it's really not that hard.
  5. Wrong!!! So very very very wrong!!! It is this kind of lame-ass thinking that will keep us mired in the same kind of crap we've had for the last 8 years. Hillary's a whore just like her husband. Vote for Obama.
  6. I'm a New Yorker too, same 4th quarter jumping up and down craziness. What a super game.
  7. Super! I think I'll be around town on Sunday so that will work. My house in SW is a ways from the 'Couv, I could probably meet you at PRG if that's easier...
  8. Well it finally happened, after years of buying closeout shoes online for great deals I finally got skunked. These 5.10 Prima slippers were supposed to be a Women's 6, 37 Euro, but they are TINY. I have small feet but I can barely get my toes in them, they are kids sized for sure. Anybody have a little one who could use a pair of shoes? Send me a check for $10 to cover the shipping and they can be yours.... It seems silly to send them all the way back to the East Coast where they came from if someone can use them.... http://www.campmor.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=39214690&memberId=12500226
  9. I'm in! 8:30/9-ish. (After X-fit! )
  10. Hey me too, me too! I have new tools that need to be used!
  11. SkiBowl is way fun, when it's cold enough, which was really often last year. Really fun terrain, and if you go on a powder day you can hike back along the Tom Dick and Harry Ridge to get to great untouched lines... Meadows isn't worth the extra 1/2 hour drive, and extra $$$, in my opinion.
  12. Me too! I don't think about it too much during the summer but now that I'm not going to see the sun for the next 9 months....
  13. Actually, the snaffle is a very ineffective communication tool due to the relentless tongue pressure and pinching action. Although used for centuries by equestrians of all disciplines, it is a common misconception that the snaffle is gentle and kind. http://www.toklat.com/myler/index.html
  14. True nuff. I've perfected the art of making tele skiing look much harder than it actually is! You and me both!
  15. For real? Come on now. thats just silly. Big powder descents on a snowboard are a thing of beauty to watch. for everything else its a shitty ugly tool usually ridden by shitty ugly tools. Wow, them's fightin' words. It all comes down to your opinion of beauty I guess, in my opinion an expert tele skier carving a big powder descent is just about the most amazing thing ever, and I have an enormous amount of respect for those who can do something so difficult with so much grace. just my opinion
  16. Do it! I've only been on tele skis for the last couple seasons, but I love it and hopefully I will get better at it (eventually!)and never go back to alpine. It's also way more versatile for the backcountry... Just be prepared to put in the time on the bunny hill! As for gear, I'm new to the whole thing but in my opinion it pays to go with shorter skis than your alpine stuff, they are way easier to handle! Also, if you plan to head off the lifts, make sure your bindings have risers, mine didn't at first and it sucked!
  17. Sometimes when I see people on their cell phones while out climbing I have this wild urge to rip it out of their hands and smash it against the rock. Huge pet peeve. Remember a whopping 20 years ago when they didn't exist? I know it's a crazy thing to imagine, but everyone managed just fine.
  18. But if he went to Tuolomne he might not have cell service!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE HORROR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Maybe he should have thought of how much he liked playing football before he took up torturing dogs as a hobby? Who the hell cares what matters to him?
  20. That "He was forced to take the plea deal and plead guilty argument" is the biggest load of shit ever. The fool is guilty, despicable, completely sick, and should be banned from the NFL for life. The fact that this is even a question is totally ridiculous.
  21. Nice work Winters! Nope, the East Coast ain't bad at all, as long as you're anywhere north of Mass-ass-achusetts! Looks like a great trip...
