republicans versus democrats vs conservatives vs liberals vs independents vs who the hell cares. politics is all sh#t. necessary yes, but still sh#t. When one side takes over, the other side will keep thinking they were right. Then in awhile, another side will take over. It is a never ending cycle (at least it has been for the last 200+ years) that is part of the joys of being in a democracy. we can voice our opinions, and know that every 4 to 8 years things will change. Sometimes in the direction you want, and sometime in the direction you don't want. there is never going to be a president that pleases everyone, and only time will tell how respected they will end up being. And these opinions do change considerably over time...

Cocina Esperanza at the end of NW 85th above golden gardens. Small place, great food.

yes it is alarming, but using USA today as your primary fact source can be questioned. They are focused on general news for the general public. They are not really focused on science.

Doesn't anyone want to climb this? my regular partners are booked, and it looks like a nice weekend to be out at index.

RIP, and condolences to his family. If I recognize him correctly from the pic above, Ryan was an on and off regular to Stone Gardens as well. Bouldered with him a few times in there. Sad to hear this news...

What's the latest on Snow White, is it still considered open for nailing? The lower section with knifeblades, and a couple of lost arrows in the upper section if I remember right? I'm thinking of doing this again, but do not want to piss anyone off by pounding a pin in the wrong spot... The lower section still looks like it needs some knifeblades to get through...

i'll be heading from lynnwood, so we could carpool part way or just meet up out there if it works.

Played with these cams at REI for a bit. the quality did seem to be the same ol' good Metolius quality, but the design did not quite seem the be as good as the aliens. the couple that I played with seemed to be a bit stiff, and one (the black one if I remember right) was hard to start, but then moved quickly after that. Making the trigger feel really jerky... BD and Aliens seem to do a much better job with this. I am curious how well the glue that holds the Kevlar trigger wires into the cam lobes will do. that looks like the point that would cause those things to 'break', and looks like it will also cause a lot of variation in the pivot point. one cam i looked at had maybe too much glue, and the cord then pulled the cam a bit more towards the center, which might explain the jerky feeling... i just played with them for a few minutes at REI, and did not get a chance to use them, so these are just my first impressions. That impression is to stick with aliens... superior design... let's just hope that CCH can pull things together and fix their quality problems.

that's an expensive cam to break... glad the dude was all right.

So with Ramuda (not sure if I spelled his name right) out of Seattle, where is the best place to get resoles done without shipping them? (close to Ballard would be great)
