Well, the apparent loss of 4 people on Rainier does not shed a kind light on the Marmot Prince, or some of the tones in this thread. It is a serious mountain that does regularly claim well prepared and experienced parties and I found MP's trolling disrespectful of both the mountain and the dead. Sheesh, MP couldn't even spell the mountain in the thread title, nuff said.

Well, I didn't like the new Helium Friend as it is very long and hung way down from my harness, and don't really care for the U-stem on the DMM 4cu. I do like how short the stem is on the Dragons (and the extendable sling) as it is both compact in the pack and also doesn't get in the way when racked. Just waiting for the pricing to see if these are a viable option. It looks like they can re-use cam lobes from old 4cu and Tech Friend production, so I'm hoping these will be affordable.
