  5. knew you couldn't stay away when 'ape sex' comes up
  6. i meant "on message boards" not "at climbing areas by message board people"....
  7. luckily, stuff like that never happens on message boards tho
  8. your mom!
  9. hysterectomies are acts of god? why'd they get an hysterectomy? god told them to. then i hope they heard him correctly...
  10. why not adopt? ok, so natural might not be the best term... but helping the sick is preserving life.

  12. okay, but in a world of invitro-fertilization lesbians can still have kids, no? possible, but not natural so no sterile marriages. should people then divorce after menopause and move on to a fertile young bride? the mindset is: sterility is an act of god. the couple is still open to life, but circumstances BEYOND THEIR CONTROL prevent the new life. just because a couple is post menopausal doesn't mean they aren't open to life. it means they are past that stage in life.

  14. i think the difference is that in a polygamist situation there is still the natural way to reproduce. it's still man/woman (or man/woman/woman/woman/etc etc) which is more conducive to life than man/man or woman/woman.
  15. wait a second... this is supposed to raise awairness of global warming, ie, save the glaciers. from what i hear most of the time on denali is spent making water (from the glacier). shouldn't your trip be to someplace where you wouldn't have to MELT GLACIERS WITH A STOVE to survive? just sayin...
  16. seems like they keep pushing out the date. i've only seen them offered on mtntools? there's this...
  17. wouldn't that be true of any offset??
  18. I'm not sure if these are a new nut on the market or not, but i got some recently and had the first opportunity to use them on sunday. some luscious upper town wallin allowed for many offset nut placements. these things are the bomb. cheaper than hb offsets and easier to get. $10.50 each or a set (1-5) for $45. just wanted to get the word out on another offset micro nut option. specs
  19. i was the black shirt... we did GD first, then rapped to the top of the chimney of TC and topped out on it to walk off. the hardest part of GD or TC is the stuppid effin top out pitch... damm i hate that thing. pulling on twigs smearing on moss.
  20. it turned into a wet foggy mess at about 6:30....just in time for the lovely top-out pitch... toher than that... bitchin day up there. [we were the other party] - i couldn't believe there wasn't a line of folks up there either. looked like you guys were having a good day out - nice send!
  21. why so much gear for each anchor??? keep it simple! i bet each one of those stances could be house a bomber anchor consisting of 2 pieces and a double sling. if you ask me...complex, time consuming anchors like the ones pictured could be a ill side effect of the john long books. that is, newer climber think that complex anchors are a must and try to mimic those in the book. good to know these things for some high-load applications (hauling, sleeping, rescuing etc)...but for these 'sport' trad routes - keep things fast and simple.
  22. what's the record for the nose, again???
  23. "only upgrade stuff if it does a better job or is lighter" how is that anticonsumerism?
  24. 2 climbers 1 cup
