Skiied off HWY2 Saturday also. With only 2 of us, couldn't really break trail it was so deep. Above treeline, was much more manageable, but windslab on sun crust and poor vis kept us getting after anything too ambitious. On a related note, had literally 2 feet of snow in 11worth overnight. Took 35 minutes to dig out my truck.

But ... you were passed out on sleeping pills and bourbon at the time, he thought you'd never know ...

I skied up it on skate skis yesterday.

Relax. Access is bad because snow happens in the winter.

In general, I'd rather have longer skis in the backcountry, where you're usually skiing open bowls and the like, than at a resort.
