I had never heard the word jambox before and couldn't help but comment. I use a music bag. PS +1 for Paul T. -
Smith Rock Monkey Face swinger takes out climbers

I'm amazed a jambox could ruin someone's experience. I could imagine some folks would be annoyed, but to let it ruin your experience... -
top-notch TR.

I agree w/ Cobra.

Mirko: Pics are up ^. This is a very well used rope. It's been fallen on, TR'd on etc. But, like I said, it's not really that frayed or dirty. I can't say I would recommend it as your primary rope. I'll accept really any reasonable offer.
-
Kirk, I have one offer pending, I'll contact you tomorrow if it doesn't go through. Pics of the Beal 9.8mm 60m are at: https://picasaweb.google.com/bakerjohnalex/BealRope?authkey=Gv1sRgCJG29NKgqoS--wE&feat=directlink

Think cheap and make an offer on: Beal 9.8mm 60m. Well used, but not really frayed or that dirty. Black Diamond (yeah, a BD rope) 50m half rope. Not used. <60m ~ 10mm rope. It was my gf's, has been chopped at some point, probably about 55m. bakerjohnalex at g-mail. I rarely check PM's. Thanks Alex

[TR] Penis Lunch Wall - The Christmas Tree Ascent 3/26/2011

I think the coolest style would be to nail it while free-climbing. -
I think having the 2nd mini-trax is a good option to consider. They can free climb to their heart's content and it's extremely easy to pull themselves up a hard section with a jumar or something similar. The transitions are seamless. But I already suggested this to Nate, I want to see what the collective genius of cascadeclimbers.com thinks. Thanks guys, Alex

Dang Tyler I hope you send soon. If only Raindawg knew how hard you crushed. Hey you should learn to fiddle widgets and do the east face after you re-hang Ian's draws for him. so core

Tyler I'm psyched your working The Big R.... I hope that's the video !!!
-
Look Tim is gonna be famous. Tyler are you sport climbing these days?
-
Also, it goes at 188 on moosejaw minus the 30 dollar gift card for purchases over 140, making yours a savings of about 28 dollars for a used rope... Perhaps your willing to negotiate the price a bit?

[TR] Smith Rock - European Vacation 9/25/2010
alexbaker replied to jbaldivieso's topic in Oregon Cascades
We saw you guys up there. Was it you yelling rock real loud? I know one or two came down. Not to blame you, but as a general statement, climbing that route is a pretty good way to kill someone else on a busy day, I think. Agree? -

Eric/Ivan: Can you get out on weekdays? -
Since were on the topic... I have heard that in order to place bolts at beacon we have to file for a permit or something? Could someone tell me, perhaps without too much bitching/agenda what the process would be for me to legally place a bolt @ beacon? Thanks Alex p.s. email is fine bakerjohnalex... gmail

Dude I don't think it is worth most peoples time to go meet someone from the internet to get 8 dollars in credit. -
Bump for Dean, Tyler and Bill on doing something unique and hard. Tyler lead the A4 pitch the day after his birthday, I can't imagine you felt that great hiking up there and starting the lead Tyler, but maybe your used to it? Alex
