  1. Dude. I can eat some serious corn. I mean it. I can eat corn all DAY!
  2. Nice wildlife photos. Outer Space
  3. Get a tattoo.
  4. Get a tattoo.
  5. I searched for "digital camera" before I posted, but didn't turn up these previous threads... Lots of good ideas here, though...thanks.
  6. Agreed, but you have to admit that as Lightnin Hopkins tunes go, "Mister Charlie" rocks more than most.
  7. Recommendations for digital cam for climbing? Cost is a consideration, but so is picture quality. What do you like or have had experience with? (If I won the lottery I'd get a Leica Digilux 2...)
  8. Unless it's interrupted by the big expected terrorist attack...
  9. Ashcroft triggers my automatic bitch slap reflex every time I see his face. Not to be morbid, but we gentlemen have to protect our assisted suicide right, especially in light of the discussion regarding prostate cancer in the news this morning. Never mind ...don't think about that.
  10. Climbers have the ability to cross the border at remote uncontrolled points.
  11. How many psychoanalysts does it take to change a lightbulb? Only one, but it has to want to change.
  12. Check out "Lightnin' in New York" ...He also plays boogie-woogie piano on that record. But Hopkins doesn't count because he's not rock. He's pure blues roots. "Boy, if you can't say it, then sing it! ...Whoa-oh Mister Charlie, you mill is burnin' down." Ry Cooder: "Vigilante Man," "Thirteen Question Method"
  13. Lowell George "Tripe Face Boogie"
  14. One time I said, "Do you take credit cards?" ...The guy said, "Sure, I'll take your credit card!" Being a wise ass backfired on me. Another time I saw a guy on an off-ramp holding a sign that said "Homeless - need money for alcohol (At least I'm honest)" ...I didn't give him any money either.

    the "liberal media"

Journalism attracts liberals because they are idealistic and willing to work for low pay if they perceive what they are doing as improving the world.
  16. Yeah ...as soon as I posted "Redneck Friend" I started hearing Duane Allman - "Statesboro Blues" in my head...
  17. David Lindley on Jackson Browne's "Redneck Friend"
  18. KL=Kentlake is the fourth...
  19. Paulaner Hefeweissen
  20. I don't have the guidebook at hand, but perhaps in referring to ice on the route, Beckey was confusing the Forbidden NWF with the NWF of the North Ridge, which is mostly ice...
  21. I'm applying for a job there. PM me if you can tell me anything about it. Plusses or minuses. Thanks
  22. Slapshot (Funny hockey movie) What's the one about the bowler with the hook for a hand? That one's funny. Repo Man (Directed by former Monkey Michael Nesmith.Best line --by Harry Dean Stanton: "Normal people. I hate 'em. Normal people go through life trying to avoid tense situations. Repo men go through life trying to get into tense situations!") The original French version of Three Men and a Baby (Not the American version!) And the one about the Star Trek-like show stars that get recruited by real aliens to rescue their planet ...with Tim Allen. That was funny. I'm no good with names.
  23. Whoa. When I looked at a flat surface I saw Ronald Dumsfeld!
  24. If the gully is out, it's fairly easy to scramble up a series of ledges to the left of the gully. There also used to be rap anchors down this series of ledges as well.
  25. The ridge should be melted out. Snow on the approach should be an advantage. If you get up there, check out the overhanging S face. Major pucker factor!
