    POP and die?

This is a great quote: The study's senior author, Dr. Vasan Ramachandran, emphasized the findings don't show diet sodas are a cause of increased heart disease risks. But he said they show a surprising link that must be studied. Of course he thinks it "must be studied". That's how he gets his grants. Why not just admit that drinking and eating bad shit (processed worthless "food" items) is bad for you and then spend the money on something else. Like a Starbucks coffee.
  11. Is it Somebody's Birthday today? HMmmmmmmammMMMMM?
  12. Like? I'm near Pier 66 in Seattle. When I worked at P69 (our dev center was at P66, so I would sometimes be there too) I walked north to that coffee shop that is at the end of the piers right next to the park and go there. I don't remember the name of the place though...
  13. This is exactly where I am too. And my buy is usually b/c I am waiting for someone or for an appt and I have nothing else to do or else I am in a social situation.
  14. We already had this discussion, but I can't remember what the thread was called. I also looked up the wiki on D.O. and Chiropractic to try to get a better understanding of the difference between the two--you may find it helpful as well. I have a lot of muscle/skeletal issues and I have been trying to learn what would be the most helpful way to start addressing them. These discussion have all been a great education!
  15. Our parks are woefully underfunded.
  16. That makes sense. Thanks!
  17. Generally, I would argue that our President doesn't have that much control over our economy (that Adam Smith stuff you referred to previously is a little closer to the mark). But it is possible that our President's choices have indeed, impacted our economy negatively. It would be interesting to hear from our economics pointy heads about this.
  18. WOM is the best advertising, or warning as the case may be, that people have. We are all capable of hearing about one or two people's experiences with a company (of any size) and deciding for ourselves if we want to try that company out for ourselves or not. Thanks for posting your experience Yama.
  19. I'd think men would learn that bragging about how fast they get done with something that most of us consider enjoyable at a more leisurely pace is unattractive.
  20. I wonder what is more important, a legal diagnosis or an accurate one. My guess is that a person who specializes in and has been trained in an area of the body is the one most capable of giving a diagnosis that will help a person heal. Is a "doctor" of Osteopathy able to give a legal diagnosis? (I assume the legal thing is to satisfy insurance requirements, yes?)
  21. Sorry, I didn't see this post until today--or else I would have been there. Next time!!
  22. Isn't that what they think the legend of vampires comes from? (besides Vlad the Impaler, one of my favorite guys)
  23. I am curious about this... Isn't a diagnosis the result of looking at signs and symptoms that the pt brings to you and then pronouncing what you see as wrong? If so, and the pt is suffering from a pulled muscle (or whatever the medical term would be for that), then why couldn't a LMT "diagnose" the pt? Just curious how this all works...
