I have a good friend in the East. A good singer, and a good folksinger, a good song collector, who comes and listens to my shows and says, "You sing a lot about the past. You always sing about the past; you can't live in the past, you know." And I say to him, "I can go outside and pick up a rock that's older than the oldest song you know and bring it back here and drop it on your foot." Now, the past didn't go anywhere, did it? It's right here, right now - I always thought that anybody who told me I couldn't live in the past was trying to get me to forget something that if I remembered it would get 'em in serious trouble.

After reading through pages and pages of bolt bullshit, I found it refreshing to read this

Maybe since folks seem to admire these stars (or athletes or whatever) it makes them feel better when the idol fails at something so that the fanboy or fangirl feels better when they themselves fail. Or maybe its just envy.

That is awesome. It's sort of an all in one.

I actually feel sorry for these gals. They are going through their crazy time (like many kids do) but they have to be scrutinized by the public every step of the way. Says something not so good about our society to be this engrossed by "stars".

The coolest thing is that you can live in a rural area. When I lived in MT, we only had a doc come up once every other week; but we had a PA three times a week. He was awesome!

Ah, interesting. I thought there was a "floor" level that you really didn't want to go beneath. I thought it was somewhere in the 50's. My doc told me my heart is low b/c I was a weightlifter for so many years and that specific activity really enlarges the ventricle thingys. Cool how the body adjusts to the demands we put on it.
