i believe shaolung was referring to the standard gaper tourist, not the rangers. in general i think being a ranger is a low paid job that has a great work environment. but you still have to stir the composting toilet once in a while, and deal with some trainwrecks that wander into the park.

Well, nothing wrong with asking. There are only a number of permits given out, and not everyone ends up using them. We actually might be working on a permit exchange of sorts for the people who give out the permits, whom have contacted CC.com with the idea. They may even be referring people looking for booked weekends to check here for people who aren't using them... I would like to see Wolfmother playing in the crater.
