Trip: Red Mountain - the dog route Trip Date: 07/10/2022 Trip Report: Hey! I went outside the other day. Kiba and I scrambled up Red Mountain this past Sunday. Was going to go on a hike up Denny Creek but there were hundreds of cars down there. Hundreds. Left the trailhead at like 1pm, and back to the car around 6:30, dawdled the whole way. Pretty cool position up there, like you're in the Alps looking back down at a European village (Snoqualmie Summit). Great views up there of Lundin and Thomson, etc. Kiba really had a great time, but maybe the best time when we got back down to the snow as he just loves that stuff. He rolls around in it and zooms around. Fun hike, would make a great early morning or after work trail run. Gear Notes: picnic spirit Approach Notes: pacific crest trail

[TR] Tahoma / Mt. Rainier - Tahoma Glacier 06/26/2022
olyclimber replied to samueleley's topic in Mount Rainier NP
Great TR. It sure is weird how insufferable some people can be online, yet actually really nice people when you meet them in person. Glad those guys are out enjoying life. -
Did you go? I didn't get there yet. Too many damn projects.

Sounds like its going to be a cluster this summer, with a bunch of road projects that they are trying to fix this year. https://www.king5.com/article/travel/delays-north-cascades-highway/281-741e002a-06d6-4854-8872-46eac15f01cc

Remembering my time with Chaps on SEWS. Just glad to be alive. Excellent use of furniture, but bring a doily for it next time! -

That was a moment of flowery prose, wasn't it! LOL. But I do mean every word. So cool that those guys chose this place to report it. Appreciate it. -
Paring the down original post/thread, there is enough negativity in the world already. Regarding my commitment to support this board going forward, I can only make configuration changes to the existing board software. I don't have access beyond that to upgrade or fix deeper issues. So I'll continue to do what I can, which is pretty limited. I have access to admin the forum software, but no access to the servers or databases which would be required to upgrade the forums to improve things, to fix security issues, etc. Only Jon has that access right now. peace.

Not only that, but this: "He also climbed six of the seven second-highest peaks on each continent." Was only missing K2, which he did attempt.
