  1. How about impeaching W and his evil control unit Darth? That would be decent and honorable!
  2. So here's my problem; her strategy and her rationalization are at complete odds with one another. She wants Florida and Michigan to count because it's the only decent honorable democratic thing to do. (Never mind that it overturns the rules in mid-game, a total no-no.) But, at the same time, the ONLY, ONLY way she can get the nomination is if enough Superdelegates can be arm-twisted, bribed, browbeaten, or cajoled into overturning the will of the voters. That ain't right now, is it? Shame on her.

Sorry, but that clip of SRV is just terrible. I saw him live, and he was truly one of the greats, but that clip musta' been during his "I'm too fucked up to see, much less hear myself" days. Check him out here at the 1982 Montreax Jazz festival when he was still pretty much unknown. Not too shabby on the bass there either, Mr. Tommy Shannon!

    Pitons

I'm with Jens here. Well-placed pins are bomber, and can stay that way for a long time. Last summer on NE Buttress of J'berg my buddy fell in that skanky loose chimney. (Should have taken the solid but ackward direct line.) His stopper pulled, and 30' later an old fixed pin held him. If it weren't for that peice, things would have turned ugly real fast. Thanks to Tom Miller or Roland Tabor, or whoever pounded it in.
  11. What? Back to the cars before dark? That just doesn't seem right.
  12. How about shelf-life? I've heard that ropes loose a certain amount of their strength just over time, even under good storage conditions. Anyone have any objective information on this subject? Of course ther are those who just keep beating their ropes forever, but I prefer to err on the conserviative side. I'm funny that way about my ropes. How long can a gently, though well used rope be safely kept, assuming it has no cuts, the sheath is still in pretty good shape, no whippers.....
  13. How about the NE Buttress of J-berg? Oleg tried it last year and bailed when the weather went ca-ca. I think it would actually be much worse getting off then getting up. It was in summer!

    Interesting Maps

I like that little fault line between Burien and SeaTac in the first map. Must be at least 10 miles of offset. I'm surprised I didn't feel that one. Really put the hurt on property values south of the epicenter though.
  18. June 24th Great Northern Slab area. ID it and calim it.
  19. ____ ahhh, "that guy with the dog who claims impossible speed ascents" or Hoot?
  20. Saturday morning, 6/24. Cam at base of Great Northern route. Identify it and claim it, or it's mine, ALL MINE. PK
  21. Kzwhateverski is obviously delusional. Comparing this to WWI or WWII is ridiculous. Those were not wars we entered because a small group of throwbacks had a personal agenda to fulfill, and no one predicted that they would be a "cakewalk" or that they would last "days, weeks; I doubt months" like that lying sack Rumsfeld. If not for their arrogance it may not have turned into a disaster. Now they want to F'ING NUKE ANOTHER COUNTRY THAT THEY DON'T LIKE!!!!!! I just can't believe this shizzle. This looks bad folks, really bad. They have learned nothing from their mistakes precisely because they are unwilling to admit to them, like our vowel challenged friend.
  22. That's awsome, I'm impresed. Hey, I just hit 100 posts. When do I get to become something other than lurker?
  23. Gary, are you trying to take all the fun out of this? I'm talking real mano a mano time wastin carpal tunnel risking postaholic behavior. Would Chuck Norris try to automate this task?
  24. Looks like I've got a rare few moments to waste, so I find myself here in Spray. I'm going to name this achievement a "Dru" for obvious reasons. Has anyone ever had their name fill every spot at once in the poster column on the active topics page? We all need something to aspire to and take our minds off the forthcoming disaster in the Middle East.
