I don't agree with everything he said, but I do agree with a lot of it, particuarly about the Senate, and I was very impressed by the way he gave the speech. Much better than the cardboard caricature he was on the campaign trail and in the debates.

And then there's the sensationalism side of the coin, where so-called news agencies spend an extreme amount of time covering celebrity trials of the day like Michael Jackson, Martha Stewart, etc almost exclusively. Much of the media gave up reporting and investigation for infotainment and ratings long ago. It's not bias, it's profit motive.

You are correct, the phrase "murder for hire" was an incorrect characterization. I apologize for that. But your charges are still grave. Are you saying that the AP had foreknowledge of these acts, or that they worked in tandem with the insurgents to manufacture these events, including the murders -- above just reporting what has already happened? Because that's what it sounds like you are saying, and I'd say that needs to be backed up with actual proof.

I read some fact check stuff after the debates and found out that the 900k number that Bush says Kerry's tax plan affects includes anyone that makes even $1 from a small business, and apparently this includes Bush himself, since he claimed part ownership in a timber company on his 2001 tax return, which is what Kerry mentioned but didn't elaborate on. It's a shame he didn't, because I think it would have made his point much better.
