The problem is that someone here noted that people tend to like folks with similar characteristics. So tall people like tall people, and short people like short people. In my case, I'm in the top 0.1% of the population for mathematical ability, so I tend to be picky. So you don't like modest women?

They come runnin' just as fast as they can coz every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man. I'm not so sure that this is simply a case of "the clothes make the man". It could be an issue of perceived self-confidence and someone who takes care of themselves as opposed to socio-economic status. I'm curious - do you commonly wear a Burger King uniform? Most guys don't understand that the biggest problem that they have with women isn't their wallet, it's them. 1. Be yourself, but take care of yourself. Get some nicer clothes that you are comfortable in. Get a decent haircut. If you've been getting your haircut the same way for 10 years, you may want to get some professional help. Give up the ghost, bro. 2. Show some backbone. I've never met a woman that said she wanted the self-deprecating needy little shit at the bar. 3. Don't get carried away. nobody likes an asshole. Quit blaming the lack of companionship on others. It really is your fault. You can choose to do something about it or you can die alone.

They are pagan rituals that were easier to market by the Roman Catholic church than a zombie-messiah. Christ actually died in the spring and was resurrected in the winter. Speaking of resurrection - find the word "easter" in the bible.

My bad. Billy Joel was married to (insert super-sexy model) back in the day. I will try to be more accurate in the future. BTW - Nice avatar rumr.

I hate to get involved, but here goes - Men tend to agree on what an attractive woman is. Of course there are exceptions, but generally speaking, men agree on what they like to see in a woman. This makes it very easy to make generalizations about the "salad years" and such. Women on the other hand, are very different. Some can agree on certain aspects, but I think it's more of the whole picture that gets 'em going. You can see it with couples like Billy Joel and Elle McPherson. Elle had plenty of money, but she still married the guy. It's impossible for us to predict, but a good thing in the end. CBS mentioned a fat wallet. A lot of women want a man that is financially stable, that goes without saying, but I doubt a lot of women want to be financially dependant. On the other hand, if blaming your own shortcomings on the greed of others gets you through another lonely night at home, so be it.

From a friend who was in there on 12/06: I was on the snow lake area today and the snow is knee deep with snow shoes. I tried to go up to the Tooth but I was too pissed with the snow close to my waist. I did manage to get to the rocky rim around snow lake. It was still an awesome day.

In the end, there are two ways for you to get up Rainier: 1. Pay RMI $1000 and get in shape 2. Learn your shit. I recommend the latter.

You can check out one of the area mountaineering classes. I believe there will be a presentation talking about the various organization's offerings at the Seattle REI on December 8 at 7:00 pm.

I've seen another way to join ropes for rappel - Tie a square knot with long tails. Use the tails to tie a double fisherman's bend. The load is on the square knot which is easy to untie, but it's backed up by a double-fish. It takes a little longer to tie, but it works. I still prefer the EDK.

I'm sorry, but I think that is an inappropriate use of "the metal handsign". STORY

Denton, TX sucked as well. It wasn't so hellishly developed as Plano.

Don't hate the meat-eaters. We outnumber you and we have more muscle mass.

It's called Plano, Texas. Mile after mile of flat developed desert. The stripmalls are only outmatched by the overstated housing projects. The overstated housing projects are connected by two different turnpikes (tolled) called the "George Bush Turnpike". I thought that all of the spraying about back-water attitudes and racisim in Texas were a crock of poo. After spending a week in a city suburb of Dallas/Fortworth, I see the truth. It was a surreal experience. I spent one night in a North Texas "Yacht Club" tasting Washington wine out of paper cups. Another afternoon was spent at the Bass Pro shop bar, drinking their beer. We astonished the other patrons by downing a couple of "stouts" without wincing. On the other hand, those MF'ers know their steak. Have you found hell?

Thanks all. I will check out the Matrix boots. The beummer is that I will have to buy them before I try them. It's only $500, right?
