    climbing girls

Come on fellas, there are more difficult birds to hunt. Try finding a cute, available rugby chick (with all of her teeth).
  2. I will do it. Please send me the Hybrid Alien. I will send pictures of the procedure. PM for address
  3. Poor Gary, won't somebody feel sorry for him?
  4. So you are telling me that you need a higher bitrate to hear the nuances in the 1950's era recording equipment? You mean hiss? Distortion? In mono even. You may want to look around for the dolby surround 7.0 versions of them.
  5. Oh shit! I've been outed!
  6. I talked to the guys there about the used gear. The feel allright in reselling steel gear, but not aluminum. If you look behind the counter, they have a few used pins as well.

    A Lesson

Crapping into the sewer is aid, even for Mr. Norris.
  8. backcountry.com has BD clipfix for $86 right now.
  9. It's near-ish: Bimbo's Bitchin Burrito Kitchen on Summit and Pine. Hot Mama's pizza is just up the street from there. Slices are pretty cheap and tasty
  10. I have a recurring injury something like this - the first knuckle on my middle finger won't bend completely after a night of climbing. No pain, only reduced motion. It goes away in about two days. I did a little research and it kinda sounds like an A2 pulley problem, but what I found on it didn't mention any loss of motion, only pain. I'm climbing tonight and I will try taping it as described for an A2 pulley issue to see if it helps. Any thoughts on this?
  11. Um, good for you. I've ridden in Seattle for a number of years and only felt like a target once when a guy in an SUV looked me in the eye and continued to merge on top of me. Luckily bikes have better acceleration. I've got an accelerator, a horn, high beams, and a finger. I'm not afraid to use any of them.
  12. You are only a target if you get in the way.
  13. I think PMS in Seattle has a pair to demo. You might want to ask.
  14. ummm... a chicken coop?
  15. FYI - McHales will cost you quite a bit more than buying a production pack. Especially once you get carried away with the options. I've had some Gregory packs that carried like a Cadillac - heavy and comfy. I've demo'ed the Dana Astralplane. It was very nice as well. That was all before I realized you can climb for more than a week in a 3500 in3 pack.
  16. Keeping in mind, of course that Jack was ropegunned up most of it.
  17. I would expect the first pitch to be completely "out" you could still do the normal (south face?) route. I would be very concerned about the bowl below the Tooth. There are also a couple of nasty slopes along the summer trail. If you are going to investigate, stick to the cat-track from the upper lot at Alpental. Keep looking to the left for a snowshoe path before the end of the cat track. If you miss it, it is well worth going back to find. FYI - the cat track trail still traverses one decent sized-avalanche slope. I'm pretty sure you will have to get in the bowl just below The Tooth. The only other option is to go to the top of the upper Alpental lift and traverse along the backside of Denny. I think Beckey has some info on this approach. I've never been back there, so I don't know what the terrain looks like. It will also put you on the wrong side of the hill, leaving you to pop back over Pineapple pass and traverse in front of the tooth in the bowl.
  18. I expected this from CBS or Gary...
  19. If you load the webbing on the homemade unit with shock clord, it will behave the same way as the grivel unit. half-inch webbing can hold "body-weight and a bit more". If you tie them properly, you should maintain most of the strength of the webbing. Pair it up with some full strength biners that you have laying around, and you've got a cheap alternative.
  20. Vipers or Quarks
  21. This post makes me feel so much better about my gear purchases.
  22. I met here at a presentation of her "exploits" it is very much a case of dad living out his dreams through his child. She seemed to be having fun doing what she was doing, but wasn't too interested in it, other than spending time with her dad.
  23. If anybody wants to see my tits, I will be happy to oblige. Don't mind the hair, it's all natural. Back to the topic - You are asking for two different things. A shirtless man is seen a LOT more than a shirtless woman. If you truly wanted to go tit-for-tat, we would need to see a lot more shirtless women. As far as pantsless men are concerned - look at any movie that has a "hunky" guy in it made in the last 10 years. The producers take every chance they can to parade a man ass across the screen. Are we similarly obliged by having a woman ass shot? Not usually.
  24. Thanks for giving us the low-down.
  25. Nothing is "in". We toured the Source Lake Basin looking for some ice. Alpental Falls was completely melted out. The smears along the summer Source Lake trail were out as well. We headed back in the Winter trail and all that ice is non-climable. There were a couple of areas on the left of the winter trail as you are headed in ot Source Lake that could get some ice if we had a few days of cold. The only climable ice we saw was along I-90 West. Even it looked rotten and thin. Sorry for the bad news y'all. Lots of heavy powder up there. Skiing on the two open runs at Alpental must be pretty good right now.
