Go get 'em, kittykat! Ignore the naysayers. This kid has it going ON.

Day-um!!

Not the point though. It's about name recognition/resume, etc. WRT pricing.
-
A quick look on the net shows your prices are about the same as Art Wolfe's. Whoever told you your work was going to command those kind of prices may not be real familar with the art market. You might have better luck selling stock photos. I'm not sure you're quite ready for the bigs yet. Good luck though.

Got an alpine start end to my work day. Sometimes 4:30 AM is damn early, today it was damn late.

No, honey, they grow up and turn into big huge yaks.

I assume that's a baby yak. Damn, that thing is cute!

Well, if you've pursued the hard sciences (excl. Biology) in college most women are below you. Students in those fields are still majority male, and many are any overwhelming majority male, even though women make up a majority of college students. Not that women couldn't, they haven't. So you're looking for someone who is as good at whatever you are the best at? Sounds like a pretty weird criteria for finding Ms. Right!

It sounds like "I'm so good at math that most women are below me." It would be along the lines, for me, of "I'm so good at painting that most men are below me." People are picky for different reasons, and it makes sense that you'd want to be someone who appreciates the math thing, but the way you are saying it (and I assume thinking it) makes it seem like you think your poop doesn't smell.

Don't get snart with me, bucko!

Modesty is irrelevant. In fact, I may get the opposite, where she says, "I am smart," and she may be, relative to her colleagues, but not to my colleagues. Modesty is not irrelevant. Women are not as turned on by hubris as you might think, Gary. if someone is smart, they do not have to say, "look at me, I am smart!" If you have to say it, you might be smart, but you're also insecure, and that is not hot at all.
-
Gary, aren't you engaged or something? She doesn't mind you seeing other women?

Here is an article about an organization boycotting Target because there's not enough "Christmas" at their stores. They just droppped their boycott agains Ford, who was previously advertising in gay magazines. Now that that's been stopped, I guess the lunatics can buy Fords again. I'm sure Jesus would be very upset if he knew his followers were driving the same cars as gay people.

I don't think I said comb-overs were ever okay.

Bald=okay. Short=ugh, I hate to say it, that's a tough one for me. Are we perhaps genetically programmed on that one? I've tried to overlook the short, but really can't. Actually, I guess I DO overlook the short, because, well it's easy to overlook them, they being short and all.

Where do you come up with this crap? Anyone who does physical labor with the other sex knows this, especially in the realm of upper body strength. Women can do a pretty good job of making up for it by using lower body strength and mechanical advantage (or simply by being young), but it's a natural fact and no one is disputing it. Sure, there will always be exception, but yeah, men are bigger and have more muscle mass in general.
-
Interesting theory, Dumb, but interesting. Where do you find this crap, really? Women are biologically programmed to protect offspring, which involves staying alive. Men are biologically programmed to spread the seed and procreate. Perhaps there is something about this that makes more men climb that women?

Personally, I see a big difference between hopping up the contrast or saturation to replicate what you saw that day and removing objects or rearranging things. Gary, let your conscience be your guide!

Cell coverage in the mountains? Which carrier?
marylou replied to OlympicMtnBoy's topic in Climber's Board
Verizon has at least one tri-band phone. It's one of the LGs. I have one, works fine. -
Cell coverage in the mountains? Which carrier?

Verizon, if only for the coverage. the coverage is superior IMO and I've been happy with them overall as well. If you get Verizon, be sure to get the cell number of another Verizon customer. If you tell Verizon that so and so sent you, and then they go fill out this little slip of paper at the Verizon store, they get a $25 credit off their next bill. sweet deal. Oh and also Verizon calls are free to other Verizon customers. -
Opera is the new Adult Contemporary.

I seem to recall he got banned for having a bad attitude and being condescending, which is weird, considering how many other people get away with that...... Personally, I would not have banned him for it. However, it's a privately owned website, what are ya gonna do?

Synthetic Sleeping Bag Weights a Joke; HELP!
marylou replied to mwienholt's topic in The Gear Critic
You're probably just never going to find exactly what you are looking for with a synthetic bag. If you insist on synthetic, ditto on the ID bags. Personally I think Primaloft One is the best synthetic fill I've seen. It drapes and compresses better than some of the other fills out there. That said, I currently own two bags and they are both down.
