  1. I admit, I speed. But I've also been the 'slow car' on the road myself. And yes, I change lanes or pull over in those situations. But that is not the issue. A cyclist going 20 mph on a 35 mph road in heavy traffic is wrong.
  2. Cyclists are usually on small two lane roads where the room is tight and it is impossible to pass. Same road laws, but what about the law about holding up traffic? I don't know if it's an official statue, but automobile drivers can be ticketed for driving too slow and holding up traffic. They're expected to pull off to the side of the road and allow others to pass them. Even if you're not legally required by the law to do that, it's still just common courtesy and and about being considerate of others on the road. As a pedestrian, I always cross the cross walk quickly. As a driver, I never occupy the passing (fast) lane if I see someone else behind me who wants to go faster.
  3. It's inconsiderate of them. Just like pedestrians that take their time to cross.
  4. My only peeve is when there are cyclists going 20 mph on a 40 mph road, and passing is either not allowed or not possible. So they hold up like 10+ cars.
  5. Wow! That's not anywhere near Phinney Ave N. I get lost easily and I've explored only like 1% of Seattle, so I'd like to have an address to work it. I don't want to ask everyone there whether they are from the internet. There should be some password or something. Plab? Btw, I'll be the bloke in all green.

    Size matters?

Oh man... so many options for backpacks. I wish volume was the end of it. Most packs seem pretty standardised. Anything I should look for in particular in a mountaineering pack besides an ice axe loop?
  7. 1. Does someone have an address? 2. What does Zeke's (the building) look like? 3. How is parking? 4. When should I show up? 5. How will I identify you guys?
  8. Where is Zeke's?
  9. Yeah, I guess. Everyone has at least one hole, and you can always buy a fake penis.
  10. pssst...I think he's bi Bi's a gender?

    Mmmm Yummy!

Custard? Hmm... I made tiramisu with a custard like base for the filling and it turned out really good. Got compliments all around. I'll try your recipe next time.
  13. Fuckin a! I like that heavy English and Irish crap. So you're saying you want Gatorade beer?
  14. There is a beer called XXXX (pronounced "four ex"). It's essentially the officially beer of QLD. The four X's are derived from the old medieval europe tradition of using X's to indicate the beer strength. You've probably seen cartoons where drunkards drink bottles of generic XXX.

Aren't you a lesbian though? Kiwi is a boy. Yeah, I'm from Kent. Yes, it is a shit hole. I can't even say the name of the city without a southern twang.

  17. Foster's is widely regarded in Australia as worse than kangaroo piss. No true blue Aussie would touch that shit.

    OLD SKOOL

    That movie rocked my socks!
  21. If you're getting a Canon and you want bang for the buck ($300) then I'd go for the a60 or the a70. It has the most manual features for a camera in its price range. Unfortunately, it's a bit bulky (not slim like S range) and about 1 oz heavier than the other Canon cameras you listed. I don't know how serious you are about photography... As always, check out the cameras in person. It's the best way.
  22. I have a Canon A20 (discontinued) and it's adequate. Only thing to worry about is condensation and temperature. Condensation might reach the electronic innards and damage the camera. The extreme cold will affect the performance of the camera (responds slower and kills battery life). So keep it dry, water proof, and warm (close to chest if possible). No doubt. I learned this a long time ago. A lot of things are more expensive on Ebay.
  23. I'm down. Someone bring a sign or something so I can identify you lot.

    Dogs at the crag

I don't see anything wrong with eating dog meat. Sure, torturing them is wrong, but it's not like we treat our livestock that humanely either. (Or so says PETA)
