  1. Lightning Dome was awesome again this weekend. Here's the new line in the Road Warrior Area. "Toecutter" 5.9** awesome fingers through a clean granite roof. It's between Mad Max and The Road Warrior routes. The forgotten roof crack at powerpole 31.4, now dubbed "Diamond in the Rough" 5.10***. NYC007 following the lead.
  2. I think graffitti increases my sending ability on Don Q. Hopefully the spring cleanup will have a sandblaster this year!
  3. Get a pair here: http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/threadz/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/601167/an/0/page/0#601167
  4. NYC and I climbed up there about 6 weeks ago. the drive is a little different from the Bland guide. the new long routes on the west face are pretty good IMO. I could probably draw it on a map, but not from memory. We did drive past an obvious "do not enter" or "private property" sign. just keep going and you'll see a sign that says "spokane county" or something about not shooting off firearms. park at the small dirt pullout and walk from there. 20 minutes to the Big Rock.
  5. Anyone know what kind of software guidebook authors are using to produce route topos? Hand drawings are fine and all, but I'd like to do something a little better.
  6. good to know. Thanks!
  7. how's Stanley NF looking these days Joe?
  8. any recent pics of the northside? perhaps the Eliot/Coe HW area?
  9. Do five single rope (with a 60M) raps. no more, no less.

  11. Alp wings and racing wings at ~$130 each also...
  12. Frattagucci SW Boxers
  13. these are really sweet. I climbed on the prototypes a few days last season on ice and mixed routes and they seem to be the ticket. I like the grip better than the Nomics. The mini-hammer head is also about the size of a #7 stopper, great for camming in cracks. Supposedly they were supposed to retail for $200CAD, which is sweet.
  14. i know people who have worn out the liner in the omegas in less than 20 days... not that that should dissuade you. I think they also increased the arch height in the omegas compared to the alphas, or at least that's how it felt to me.
  15. My guess is the North Grove. next year man!
  16. nope. just went to africa to study native music...
  17. the lower approach slopes are melted out, but one can get on the ridge by going A) around to the left of the toe of the ridge or B) climb near the rocks and hope the seracs don't fall on you. there isn't a lot of evidence of them being active recently though. either way the Coleman is still navigable.
  18. any update on the pocket glacier?
  19. find my Viper tool?
  20. more importantly, the atc-guide does not develop a sharp edge from "standard" usage like the reverso does. trog - both the reverso and guide are releaseable as is the b-52 and other autoblocking devices. the BD just looks easier since it has that silly little loop in the bottom...that's not large enough for a biner or most stoppers.
  21. I've got tomorrow off. anyone want to head out tomorrow to squamish? i'm in bellingham, willing to drive if you split gas $. 208-301-4181 call before 11pm... kurt
  22. was it clipped with a neutrino? no sign of it on Monday. sorry.
  23. minimal snow. no axe/pons needed as of yesterday.
  24. nice work getting after it this summer guys!
