I would just like to give a bump up to the Earl of Sandwich, may he rest in peace. We take this component of lunch so much for granted, and it weighs heavily upon me. Oh, sure. There was meat, there was bread and there was vegetables before the Earl, but he really brought it all together in what, I would venture, is one of the great all-time discoveries.
